2005 GTO vs 1996 LT-4 Turbo Corvette (play in 240p)

@spittyss Stock LT4s run anywhere from 12.9 to 13.3 depending on traction. So the chances of it being unmodded are very good. A stock LT4 Vette will outrun a stock GTO.

turbo vette? NA vette should have been able to do that imo. Newer GTO's are slow. I've seen LS1's go 14.1 alot and LS2's go 13.8... ALOT. They need a great track and driver to pull the Motor Trend #'s

@spittyss yeah dude, I think it is driver because they always bogg, go up in smoke or wheelhop realy bad. I did see 1 LS2 that went a low 13. not sure exactly but I think it was 13.3 like I read in a mag at the time. but you're right. I'm just saying that theGTO is not setup to launch well but I guess it would give alot bimmers hell when the road got twisty lol They are kool cars. Ever seen the Ausi versions? Sure you are aware of Holden but they made a LS1 Monaro that looks like an El Camino.

Have auditory shift lights been invented now or is it factory on the GTO's?

It is a factory shift light, but it is disabled on all GTOs from the factory, I sent it off to a guy that activated it

Why are they disabled; is it because it would encourage people to race them, which is really their purpose anyway? Also, did the guy that activated it for you add the chime sound or is that part of the factory setup? I'm curious to know, because sound would make so much more sense vs. having to worry about something else to look at while racing. At night is obviously fine, but you can't see jack during the day.

Looks like it was a tie because I paused it as you were both going over the line. Either it was a tie or you got him by less than 100th of a second. He was obviously going to pass you if the race went on any longer because of his turbo but, nice job =)
