Looks really cool, man. I'd have added different resistors in series with the LEDs, so that the middle ones lighted up first. Gives a cooler visual effect, like in a vu meter.

Why do users pick apart a cover which is not done "note for note". Watching live versions of songs by the original artist... the artist never does it note for note. Why? Because the artist in the studio layed it down in a few takes and doesn't even have it in memory. Most play by feel with spontaneity... yes you remember certain unique parts but it doesn't need to be note for note. When you learn a song by tab and don't know what key or scale you are in... you are missing the boat.
