yes they are. but the sounds are soo loud they can pierce your eardums and knock you uncocious. they are gentle, but they can be dangerouse. not on purpose of couse, but it can be done.

it was a few hundred feet of water. i swept the camera from left to right to try and get a shot of them but they must have been to deep? look at the other whale videos to see'em!
