  • When i first saw this, i thought it was a hoax and some guy was playing the rods. But the foosbot is very good. Cmon, a computer that controls and shoots the bal like that. ofcourse better players can beat that machine, but maybe one day, like in chess, there will be an unbeatable foosbot. ps: i'd kick it's ass ;)

  • Ohh.. Come on!, in the first goal (00:18) the goalkeeper was in the air and way out of line. In the second goal the defence didn't move, nothing, it was waiting for foosbot shot. The third goal was nice. And in the other goals the defence stayed too still, not as a human. it looks like the robot was Brown. Men, you are very good at making tablefootball robots, but you stink at playing.

Put a real challenge, against good players, it doesn't matter who wins, we see that your robot can play good.

  • i agree but the shots at .18 and .27 were just still defenders which didnt show off so well the calculated "opening in the defense" you detailed. But seriously it has good control AMAZING JOB! that goal at .38 is amazing I wonder if it does that all the time

  • the table also has strong passing skills. it rips the ball pretty hard from the defensive zone, but leaves its offenders *down* because its software alllows it to catch and cradle easily even if they are coming fast. you see this a couple of times in the demo.

  • the video shows the robot doing pull shots. people have complained that we aren't trying to block the pull shot. the foosbot though releases the shot when it sees an opening in the defense. if you're sliding too fast against the pull it will go near post and if you're lagging it will zoom past you and go far post. it isn't flawless but it handled the club players well.

  • I wonder why the foosbot hasnt lost to humans hmmm CUZ ITS PLAYING RETARDS?? You can pass the ball to the robot to show it off but at least TRY to defend it. that said, it seems to have decent ball control and it also looks as if it aims into corners well AND the last goal was either luck or some uberfast computing. But you never know since its not continuous vid so the goals could be taken from many failed attemps

  • somebody's jealous

  • the video was shot before we'd improved the strength of the human rods. we were afraid of playing the table too hard and breaking them before a demo that we were giving the next day. two days later, a couple of players from the houston club team showed up at our request. the table beat them 5-1 and then in the second game one of the players broke a rod. the table was out of comission for a week.

  • the table's main strength is its defense. it has its defenders lined up to block all the shots (except bank shots) on goal. You can score with a HARD bank shot or a chip shot (chip shots are possible because the table's sensors are just above the table surface and if the ball leaves the table we don't know where it is).

  • that foosboot is not as good as the top foosball players, but it has v nice passing.

  • Nah, seen guys in France who could beat that, it waits too long before shooting, any decent tablesoccer as we call it would have his defense lined up in time

  • pretty impressive for a robot. would be more so if the opposite player was making bit more of effort to save the shots.

  • what kind of ball is that? is it sensed by the foosbot players?

  • troopo scarso il robot!!

  • che polli!!

  • holy shit that thing wtf pwns. kthnxbye

  • that thing pwns!
