I dont care what anyone else thinks about this game, in my opinion it looks absolutely amazing and im sure to put ALOT of hours into it, i will most likely enjoy it more than skyrim and im not saying Skyrim is bad, but this is TOTALLY my type of RPG with awesome armour +weapons a HUGE MAP, some awesome looking monsters which haven't been seen in other games and some awesome areas of the map, from deserts and jungles to awesome crowded cities. Initially casuals and even some hardcore players can be turned off by some of the cosmetic deficiencies, and may think that the melee is simple but after researching, understanding the design, and what it becomes through progression through this game aswell as playing it, players would come to find this is better than Skyrim in many ways. But I've only played the demo so who knows...

I like this game's quirky art style but it just looks like it lacks polish. The houses seem furnished with things that are nothing but filler items copied and pasted. And there's no facial animations. Any time someone talks in this trailer they have great voice actors giving a lot of expression with their voice but the faces are stone cold emotionless statues with moving lips.

I hope I'm wrong, I hope this game is really good. But judging from all the trailers the whole thing just seems ...flat

But, to say that they don't sound alike based on some audio file that was most likely for something else is seriously underestimating the talent of voice actors. It just doesn't make sense!

In Reckoning, you have access to all basic skill trees(three of them), specializing more in certain ways unlock "Destinies" that you can switch at will that give you new skills, stats benefits and different fighting style. But theoretically your rogue might as well be casting fireballs out of his two handed axe.

Factions themselves(there are more than three, the number given total was "a bit more than six") are not classes.

@FUJERE2 Oblivion was terrible, the combat was dull, the UI was clunky as hell, the skills were way too diverse, the leveling system was an absolute nightmare, the difficulty scaling idea was horrible, it was way too easy to grind out skills to "break" the game (*cough* Chameleon *cough*) and it was pretty much required you do so if you wanted to play on a high difficulty. the quuests were boring, the "story" was non existent, and the bitter taste of "sandbox" was in the air.

@FUJERE2 maybe i was a little harsh, i'll admit that. but to me there are just too many faults with oblivion that i can see in skyrim. with oblivion i couldn't get into it, i felt like i was trying to "cheat" the system instead of be an epic hero. i couldn't stand the look of the weapons and armour, and there was no motion capturing at all (something bethesda aparently REFUSES to do). my character looked like a goofy moron swinging his sword around like he picked it up yesterday

@Treifla I get what you're saying about the animations, they've always been one of Bethesda's games faults but they seem improved now. And yes if you have 100% chameleon your basically invincible but I don't use those "cheats" so it's easy for me to get immersed. I do love the art style though, especially in Skyrim. The armor and weapons look a lot better than in Oblivion :) BTW if you're on the PC one of the best things about TES is the huge mod community, which will solve basically anything :P

@Treifla Medium Armor isn't avaible in Oblivion though so I guess you're talking about Morrowind? :| At any rate I get what you're saying but I think there are some pretty epic and heroic armors as well as some more realistic ones in TES (google search the Imperial Dragon Armor) , unlike say JRPGs (not saying that's what you're implying) where all armors and weapons are epic :/ I do prefer quality over quantity as well but imo TES is great at both, but I guess that's where opinions come in :P

RPGs always try to split classes, like this has mages, warriors and rogues. But i don't want this. Personally i want a mix of warrior and mage and ive looked over loads of RPGs for it but none of them have it. Rift tried it but their talent mechanics sucked IMO, the closet i have gotten to what i want is an enhancement shaman in wow. Thats why i'm hoping Skyrim will be the first game to actually let me do what i want!
