I strongly disagree. There has been a lot of press regarding biofuel - most of it isn't good.

There is a lot of potential in using biofuels ...the initial program in the US was during the Carter administration and focused on Algae

Interestingly enough, the algae ethanol program was cut in 1995 when DOE determined it would never be cost competitive with gasoline because the estimated retail cost was about...$4 per gallon. There are several venture capitalists investing heavily in algae now. It'll be interesting to see what happens in the next couple years.

thanks jerk, you just helped more people go hungry by endorsing biofuel.  ehtanol is just as bad as petrol based for the enviorment, it simply drives food prices up.
