  • Brilliant adaptation of Dicken's classic! Although The Ghost of Christmas Past came across to me as being some kind of creepy weirdo in this version. lol.

  • @TheAltair4

It is good even though Zemeckis has improved on CGI since Beowulf and do you think Avatar captured the CGI movements including facial expressions brilliantly?

  • Jim Carrey shows how talented he really is by playing eight different parts in this movie.Alastair Sim's portrayal of Ebenezer Scrooge inspired his take on his version of scrooge in this movie.

  • the lines in the movie and the book were acctualy really accurate.

  • thats a lot of 3D!!!

  • @JokullTheBerserk He does say the "If they would rather die they had better do it" line

  • Bah humbug!

  • I saw this movie it was okay but it was actuaaly scary!

  • did any of you christmas carol fans see the musical with ira divid wood III

  • Saw this in 3-D. Best A Christmas Carol adaption ever.

  • old people are getting hurt in this movie - a lot!

  • The best Christmas Carol is the one with George C. Scott. This one is ok.

  • I'd rather not.

  • I saw this movie in 3D yesterday. It was fantastic...

  • ive seen dat movie it ok

  • was this good? i'm planning to go wednesday.

  • I saw this at Atlantic City Imax, and it was Fantastic! What a Great Movie

  • I loved this movie.

  • This movie is very good. I am a die hard Christmas Carol fan and it sticks fairly close to the book... strays a little bit at some parts but the dialogue is almost exact and it included all the major scenes. I reccomend it to anyone.

  • The movie is nothing like the book. But then again, the book was made in the Victorian Age.

  • this movie is the greatest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! way better then the trailer!

  • disney is really getting more detailed in there movies

  • u HAVE to see it...its funny and scary...WE ALL WIN ^_^

  • Whoa, I am speechless. The people look amazing! Can't believe it's computer animated. I mean, I know it is but they did a really good job making it look pretty realistic. And Scrooge looks especially menacing here. I feel bad for him though, getting tossed around like that. :(

The Muppet Christmas Carol with Micheal Caine is my favorite, though. ^^

  • I loved the movie

    It was classic

  • It was pretty graphicly epic. ! I LOVED IT!

  • It was a great! Save for the departures from the book. Like the flying at the end of teh visit from the ghost of Christmas past, and the chase scence with the horse drawn hearse, and the shrinking. Other than those moments it was a great retelling of the classic

  • were doin this as a play in class

  • I want to see this movie!

  • I went to go see this 2 weeks ago in 3D. This, was sort of weird and scarier than the old one. The jim carrey sgrooge is meaner than the george scott sgrooge.

  • UP was good

  • @jarhead0055 i know right??

  • i like movies that are like animation but they look so real its awesome haha

  • amazing graphics. they look like they r realistic

  • great movies with realistic like graphics

  • This movie is co cool in 3D!!! a\but a little kid would scream when it pops out at them

  • disney going to the dark sweet

  • i saw this movie saturday i give it 10000000/10

  • this movie is a kids horror movie lol it has awesome effects too

  • 1:53 why does disney specialize in scenes like that?

  • i read the novel first it makes much more sense if you do

  • haha, I thought they were already there. This one just deepens it a bit I guess.

  • WOW. they actually made the character look almost like jim lol. they are getting better with this CGI stuff.

  • "Can I take a moment?" NO!>:3

  • I haven't seen this movie, but the trailer makes me think it's far more flash than substance.

Of all the versions I have seen, the one that is the most loyal to Dickens's novel is with Patrick Stewart as Scrooge.

  • wow so cool they can take real people and kinda make them digital neat stuff.

  • lol i watched the old version in class today...

  • i saw this movie in imax 3 d it was raw

    awesome

    i loved it

  • I did this play in theatre class today!! Wooo! I was bob cratchet!! heheeheh XD

  • I don´t have seen the movie yet. But the trailer is amazing! I´m 3D animator and I have to say: I wish I could make such a nice animation :)

I know they have cutting-edge technologies such as motion capture and so on. But there is still a lot of great animator´s work. I like the sequence with falling snowflake and titles, particles are very nice as well. And animation of camera movement is fantastic. And so on.

    Great work!

  • it was scary!! i loved it. it was done really well

  • omg great animation

  • this story is really old it was made on 1843!

  • 5 STARS

  • omg i hated reading that book i dont find mr. charles a good wrighter

  • Excellent movie. Great story of redemption and forgiveness.

  • It's Ironic Becouse I Just Read The Book In Class Today And Were Watching The Old Movie Tomarrow. (50's) It's a Great Book Also.

  • i love ghost of christmas present

  • kids will love it! for me I like the old ones....

  • saw it last week i think u will like it too.

  • If you'll read the bok you'll be pleased to find that this version follows Dickens almost to the letter! A very rare occurrance...

  • I loved this movie! :'D.

I jumped at some parts. xD.

In other words, some parts were really creeping me out. LOL. Overall, this movie was amazing! Sometimes, I didn't even know what was going on. XD. Amazing that Disney actually made this. xD.

  • Looks great!!

  • It was epic indeed.

  • I don't think I would like to see this movie, there is no real acting it is mostly computer effects, and that takes all the feel out of it. What is happening to film makers are they getting lazy?

  • come on man, the animation looks really real. don't be a scrooge :/

  • For one thing, this is probably motion captured. Doing motion capture IS acting. Secondly, even if most of the animation comes from motion capture, the modeling work that goes into something like this is astounding, and is more (although different) work than would go into a traditional film.

  • they are NOT getting lazy. computer animation can take longer than acting

  • @gfemex

computer effects are much more interesting than boring old actors. have you no appreciation for art?

  • @gfemex takes just as much tallent to animate acting (maybe even more) as it does to actually act.

  • LAZY??? If you define the countless hours spent on special effects and computer graphics as being lazy, then yes, they are lazy.

It takes more time to make a film like this than it does making non-animated films.

  • lol do you even know how hard it is to even do animation?

  • I'm not trying to say that what you're saying is wrong

But they actually tried something new with this movie. The actors had to stand in their underwear and change their expression for EVERY expression in the movie and take pictures. It took a looooooong time, so I wouldn't call that lazy.

It was a good movie, too.

  • I thought the same as you but , I was VERY WRONG....This is an awesome movie...AWESOME 5 Stars Movie

But to get the most out of it you "Must" see it in 3D

  • this movie shows up SO clear in 3d! <3

  • You've got that right

  • th musical is scary 2

  • we going on a field trip as i speel right now to see it

  • This movie is scary, but i really like it, the way that Jacob Marley Says "You will be haunted by three spirits..." is kinda cool, lol

  • @jasminerolf1 how??? how was it scary?

  • @jarhead0055 lol you didnt spell spell right ;)

  • BEST MOVIE EVER!!! I've seen it TWICE in the theater!!

  • this has, by far, the best ghost of jacob marley i have seen

3D on this movie is so epic

  • what parts do peoples find it scary???! I don't understand

  • I was really entertained by this film. Of all the adaptations of this classic Charles Dickens story, this one is one of the most accurate. Nearly every scene and dialogue was true to the book. Great job, Disney

  • That was a very good movie :) my hubby took me to see it today

  • this film was good

  • our skol is seeing it! lol weird lol

  • how is it scary

  • amazing movie but i wouldnt suggest it for the weak hearted hehe...

  • this movie sort of creped me out in some parts but otherwise, it was great!

  • I just saw this movie 2day

    gr8 movie

  • seen it loved it

  • nothin like the book from Charles Dickens but looks ok

  • nothin like the book from charles dickens

  • @ leakesonasucs

How dare you say that! There's alot of people who disagree with you.....

  • When did "A Christmas Carol" become an action adventure movie?

    What a crock.

  • The whole time the Ghost of Christmas Future is there, it freaks me out because it's so scary, yet it's also my favorite ghost! I loved it, and I get to see it again with the whole school.

  • lol, i thought this was a live action movie...

  • Hmm. Looks good for kids, and I like Jim Carrey 'n' all, but I'm probably not gonna see this.

In my mind, Michael Caine will always be the definitive Scrooge. And he can do it live-action, too.

  • lol my class is reading the book.

  • This movie is sure to become a classic. The 3D was awesome!

  • It was a good movie but my ten and a half year old sister covered her eyes dring the scary parts! LOL I saw it in 3-D!

  • I just saw this movie today!

  • i like jim carrey but im gonna get a lot of thumbs down but i hate this movie barley 3d

  • it was great.

  • saw this in IMAX. It was epic.

  • even in a regular theater its epic!

  • me too! i saw it 3 times in the theaters... XD its soo epic! Jim Carrey is the best!

  • wo wo wo wo wo wo forest gump is in this movie

  • It's a really AMAZING movie but almost all the little kids started crying on the weird/scary parts haha!

  • I haven't seen it, but Mr. Carrey, do you have to star in EVERYTHING? I think you are great, from"Man in the Moon" to "Horton hears a Who" but, GIVE IT A REST!

  • Are you kidding? He rocks this role!

  • im about to go see it right now!

  • i saw this movie today it is Great movie But very scary and Dark would take kids 12 and up !

  • Too much reliance on visual 3D and a grim fairy tale not fit for the lenses of children.

    A Christmas Calamity!

  • Best video production ever.

    Phenomenal experience.

    Thumbs up.

  • i saw it last week the end was funny i thought he was gonna have to die when the ghost showed his grave

  • I agree with NipahNanoDesu, it's a little dark for small children and would be a little hard for them to understand. It's more true to the original story than the sugar-coated versions that some people might be familiar with such as the Mr. Magoo classic. But otherwise a very good movie. I'm actually glad I didn't see it in 3D, I'm afraid of heights. I can only imagine what some parts would've been like to watch.

  • Its not a happy story its Charles dickens way a pointing out the wrongs of society during the Industrial revolution of how the rich peoples greed corrupts them and how they pay for it in the end if they do not realizes their ways

  • saw it today a great movie its a must see in 3d

  • remember, Bah-hum-bug are not the words u want to say this christmas season

  • @shockmatter i followed it easier after i watched the looney toons version of it xD

  • i saw this movie i kinda lost track on what it was about lol

  • @hardice203

    me too just today

  • wow im going to a felid trip to the theater to see the christmas carol and its gonna be fun i just know it!!

  • i watched yesterday and kept my glasses but i wanted to watch something else with them

  • Very awesome movie. Can't wait to have polarized 3D at home.

  • lol good movie :]

who notcied the ghost of chrsitmas past?

  • it was great. best version in years.

  • ahh so cute

  • i went on a feild trip and saw that.

  • i watched it yesterday and the movie made my lil bro scared

  • how was this movie

  • Great movie, Wife and I saw it on IMax and it was alot of fun. Might be a bit much for small children tho

  • It was GREAT but a little scary I will admit.

  • would this movie scare my 10 year old sister

  • lol it looks funny. ill most probably go see this :)

  • sigh...Looks okay, but it also looks like it will be using the cheap laughs of pain, and where did the tiny scrooge come from?! And the rocketing off with the ghost of christmas past's cap?!

  • I SAW IT ANDS ITS THE BOMB lol even though its old fashoned thats a good part about it! and it really teaches you a lesson...don't be a scrooge! and btw the 3-D is AWSOME! it really looks like its popping out at u and at the end theres a grim reaper dude typ of thing its awsome!!!!!!!!

  • gotta love that jim, always a funny guy : D

  • I saw it. GREAT movie.

  • This movie was amazing. I went with my little brother and another little kid and they were kind of scared of someparts. Another thing is, they were a little to young to understand some of the vocabulary they used, or the story line

  • i watch last week it was so good

  • Looks like a good movie, gonna see it today :]

  • i wanna see it with my best friend in 3-D!!!!!

  • its messed up that people today relay on passed ideas when they cant come up with their own :/

  • i luv the animation and the video quality. perfect

  • Does anyone find it ironic that the narrator said "This Holiday Season.." when its a movie specifically about Christmas?

  • You people are crazy. Robert Zemeckis hasn't sold out. He's created this new technology that looks amazing, although I doubt it'll be as good as all the older versions.

  • anything with jim carrey and disney should be good :)

  • hay its marley lol

  • The animation looks like this movie should be from five years ago...c'mon Disney, don't be so lazy.

  • watch it on 3D is gonna blow your mind i mean it was snowing inside of my theater i swear.

  • Oh come on! You aren't serious, are you?

This movie fits into this era perfectly. I saw it in theaters and it is, truely, the only 3D movie I have ever seen. All the other "3D" movies were just those stupid cyan and red popouts but this was truely 3D. This is not lazy work, my friend.

  • Just got back from seeing this, and all I can say is that Disney seems to have broken their habit of staking an original story and butchering the plot and tone for the sake of the movie(Mary Poppins and the 1960's Alice in Wonderland come to mind). This Christmas Carol is just like like the novel-heavy, dark, and sinister(until Scrooge wakes up on Christmas of course)-all the way up to most of the dialogue. This now my favorite version of A Christmas Carol. Brava, Disney, brava!

  • GOOOD MOVIE!

  • pretty cool

  • I am in a production of Christmas Carol and I play Belle/Martha Cratchit/and Fred's wife. My director has forbidden the cast from seeing it until the show is over :-( I really want to see it!!!

  • i sorta like the movie, but im not sure its appropriate for little kids. i liked the end where he got nice. i didnt like the ghost on the doorknob.the other ghosts didnt present themselves nicely

  • just finished the book for school... can't wait to see this..

  • i want to see that! it looks really good!!!

  • wow. i love it..

  • I didn't like the narrator

  • A great movie but maybe not suitable for little kids. :) Took my 7 year old daughter and her 6 other friends and they were scared because of how the ghosts presented themselves. Still, I did enjoy the movie!

  • Jim was not AS funny in this movie. He was good in the Grinch. But not this movie, I think he's getting out old. Let Ben Stiller Produce a real movie of this and it will make more votes than this one

  • he wasn't meant to be funny... the story is not conducive for high comedic moments... His acting in this was out of his mainstream element but impressive nonetheless.

  • that makes no sense

  • that looks terrible

  • I actually enjoyed this movie because I love Robert Zemeicks his movies are always good.

  • I watched it... Don't want to spoil it but just want to tell you ITS AWESOME AND SCARY! :D

  • I didn't think it'd be that good but it was honestly an awesome movie! They had parts that I really didn't think would be in it that could be disturbing to children.

  • i love the movie asome of the asome

  • looks realygoooddddddddd

  • im going to see it today!!!

  • the ppl look life like, but only some

  • haha this looks great :) i love animation movies

  • all of u should see the movie it is good

  • i saw it, great movie!

  • The Back to the Future Trilogy, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, Forrest Gump, Cast Away, The Polar Express. Wow! Zemeckis sure does have an extraordinary resume.

  • is it out yet?

  • im reading the book its sooo cool

  • best movie ever i just saw it so cool the snow was amazing.. fat man laughs weird but awesome!
