If you like this music kind, you will love those whom I compose and which are available on my channel (thank you for somewhere else to subscribe you to it).
The pic in this video brings me back to the very cutscene i nthe game. It was at that point I began to understand yuna's burden. Kinda like how tidus was beginning to learn as well. At this point I actually began crying. The music, the story, the gameplay, FFX undoubtedly trumps the rest of the series for just being overall a perfect game. Yuna is undoubtedly one of the most lovable characters in any game ever.
only 2 games ever made me sad at the end. ff9 because i liked it and didn't want it to end and ff10 because its jsut so fricking sad. plus it took me some 7 years to beat, so that just added to it.
@badflamer Ummmm. I have no idea why you don't want to admit the truth, but i really loved the true ending. Tidus and Yuna put up with a lot of crap during the first game, they earned it.
@bzoner16 *sigh* totally missed the point. and the end doesn;t matter, tidus is a dream, he was never real tobegin with, they brought him back as needless fanservice and it fucked up the story. FFX should have just been left alone
@badflamer You are also missing the point. The story of FFX was one of rebellion against a decided fate, to free themselves from a cycle of death. Tidus's fate had been decided from the moment of his creation, but Yuna chose to fight against everything to free him as well. He was the last piece that needed to be added to make things right between the fayth and the Spira they had kept controlled for a thousand years. Its like Christ's resurrection (he is the Christ figure after all).
@bzoner16 he's not teh chirst figure. he doesn't die a martyr's death, nor does he posess the ultimate truth that escapes everyone. that's two of the three traits down the drain and you need at least two in order to be considered a christ figure. read up on your literary facts.
also, though freeing from a decided fate may have been a sub-moral of FFX, it was hardly the most prevalent point of the game
the fayth also never controled spira. they were imprisoned by yu-yevon.
@badflamer You dont understand the literary concept of Christ figure very well do you. If it was an exact copy then he would be well...Christ, and there is no need criteria threshold for becoming one. He does die a martyr's death in a sense, if he didn't end his own existence by killing Yevon everyone would still be bound.
Also, the fayth originally chose to create the Zanarkand of their memories. Yevon only got out of hand after they did it. And yes, freedom from fate is the driving moral.
@bzoner16 yes there is! there are three general traits that define a christ figure and if a character does not posess at least two of them, he can not be considered a literary christ figure even if you stick a crown of thorns on his head. two of these is the martyr's death (heroic sacrifice is not a martyr's death. refer to Simon's death in lord of the flies as he is one of the few 'perfect' christ figures yet) and knowing the ultimate truth. the other being innate primal goodness.
@badflamer There are a multitude of signs that can make a person a Christ figure and, like most literary concepts, the interpretation is subjective to the author. If the author means for the character to be reminiscent of Christ, he will make it so and those who look for the signs will find them. The idea of a required 2 out of 3 criteria is an arbitrary checklist that has no basis. Last I checked there was no 10 Commandments of Fiction or Codex of Literature.
"Listen to my story... This may be our last chance."
Damn I can't say that, or even listen to this song without tearing up. By far one of the most amazing games with one of the most amazing stories of all time.
i remember when my brother was learning this. it would be late at night, and i would have to go to bed. he would start to play it, and i drifted off to sleep...
this has turned out to be one of my favourite memories
Oh god, thank you SO much for making this video. It brings back memories of my brother playing the game when I was really little and he was still around. It makes me think of beautiful times that you know won't last forever, but treasure more than anything else.
This is got to be one of, if not THE best songs I have ever heard on a game. I remember replaying the game twice so I could hear the song since I didnt know about youtube at the time.
I know this sounds kind of geeky but my cousin played a piano version of this at his wedding. It was beautiful though (even though me and my brother-in-law were the only ones besides the bridal party to recognize the song)
i dont think thats geeky at all. nobuo uematsu composes beautiful, emotive pieces. i know for a fact there was a remix contest a few years back to make a wedding march out of aerith's theme. the result was gorgeous.
i know music professionals that listen to his work without even playing the games.
Uematsu... youve struck musical gold.

I remember this whole game it was beautiful and amazing and heartwarming. Auron was enough to make the story interesting enough.
But the worst part of all was Tidus's goddamn laugh: HA HA HA HA HA HA!
makes me want to strangle him.
