Louisville where rather than education being prime material or job opportunities that the locals really think about either wanking it or having an orgasm. Of course, that's the only exciting thing that Louisville has to offer. Unless you consider getting drunk or puking all over the barstools to be entertainment. What a lame city.

Louisville, Ky has recently reversed the brain drain and has the potential to be the next mid-size boomtown i.e. Austin, TX or Raleigh, NC. However, all of the recent progress is threatened by the city's leadership who plan to toll its citizens to fund the biggest urban planning mistake of the 21st century: the downtown Ohio River Bridge Project. If built as planned this 23 lane interchange will lock Louisville's CBD waterfront into the only expand elevated waterfront expressway in the world.

Everyone has their own opinions about what the country's greatest city is... Louisville's distinction is that it's a large enough city for excitement, while maintaining a great bit of small town charm. It's why I came back after 23 years in that shit-hole known as South Florida...

It's a great city! Just stay out of certain areas after dark, just like other cities. The wild life in the city is pretty cool, racoons, rabbit's and squirrel's too. The scenery is nice, lot's of tree's. Look's alot like Canada. You have your southern hospitality here. People in the surrounding countie's around the out skirts of the city are a little country and kinda, rough, but hey it's KY!!

Don't believe this commercial. First of all, I have lived in Louisville all my life (42 years) and NOTHING in this video was shot in Louisville. Our mayor is a crook and is now trying to run as Lt. Governer with Current Governor Beshear in the next election. We DO NOT want this man in state Government to do with state tax dollars and budget what he has done with our city tax dollars.

Too bad our St. James art fair attracts a half million people to Louisville. Thunder Over Louisville and KY Derby, yeah those don't attract but a half million out-of-towners, too. You see, the majority of people outside of Louisville that don't visit the Ville- the Nobodies that you refer to- are hillbillies, sir.

Thanks for putting me in my place. It's good that your city gets a good week and a half of recognition a year. I do visit Louisville though and actually enjoy it, especially the 4 am closing time, but if you don't think it lags behind other cities in the region then you are blind.

I've lived from one coast to the other in this country and Louisville was by far my favorite place to live. Louisville has great restaurants, a lively night-life scene, a fantastic arts scene, and a very reasonable cost of living. Not to mention a fantastic river-front park area and Churchill Downs!

@UofLCardFan08 I've been just about every city in Kentucky and every major city East of the Mississippi River and I can certifiably say that Louisville Kentucky is one of the shittiest cities in the whole Eastern US outside of maybe major metro holes like NYC, Chicago, Detroit, and DC. In most states, people can also spell armpit but not in Kentucky.

@UofLCardFan08 I've been to and lived in various places including large cities, small cities, etc and Louisville is an armpit even of the 3rd world state known as Kentucky. Even Lexington with 1/3 of the population is a nicer overall city than Louisville. Cleaner, better cared for, etc. Louisville looks like what I remember of my last trip through Cleveland. Same depressing buildings and bombed out infrastructure. Louisville should be renamed the Detroit of the South.

@penderdown Right on. Indianapolis beats Louisville hands down. Cincinnati for being a rough city beats Louisville. Same with Nashville. Evansville is a nicer city than Louisville and its a lot smaller. Louisville is great if you're a drunk or a bible thumper but outside of those two areas there's not that much to do. After a while going to the same museums, zoo, malls gets a bit old. 4 malls in the Louisville area and really none of them are impressive. Same with the cultural events

@penderdown Evansville maybe has one quarter of the population of Louisville and has just about as much to do as Louisville. They have one really good shopping mall and plenty of other stores and strip malls as well as a zoo, minor league baseball team, 2 Universities, etc. Yet its only maybe 200,000 people in Evansville-Vanderburgh county. Plus they have a lot less homicides than Louisville. People in Indiana like to avoid Louisville unless they live right in the metro and go to Indy instead

These are great! I was linked to the ads from a story talking about the feed back. They make me want to check out Louisville. I would have never thought of going there for any reason before these ads. On a marketing stand point I really liked the way they used pop culture as a reference, very clever, and creative.
