  • :o)

  • yous hasve such prettys ladys fingers-squisgar

  • how do you learn how to use a synth like this?

  • @IDontDoDrumCovers you buy one and you read the manual.

  • Where do you buy this stuff? I live very close by Sam Ash music store but they don't have anything other than Moog gear. I live in the U.S. is there a place you can check out a Doeopfer, Swejman, or Analogue Systems?

  • you got your mothers hands

  • That thing is sexy.

  • you are one kickass synth- player.

  • lovely holmes

  • The last bit in this video sounds a LOT like Jean Michael Jarre, and

I really have to say I am digging your vids. Great work! :)

  • very very good, lovely sounding synth great demonstration

  • hi i would like know how call it the arpeggiator you're using in this video becouse i'm finding something like so that thanks by by

  • I think you're referring to the Fat Controllers, which are analog sequencers. They were made by Frostwave, but are not available any longer. However, there are many analog sequencers now available that will work. Most are for modulars, and are in modular format these days.

  • So right what a FAT sound, love it.

  • Hi Stretta.

Love your videos. What are those white sequencers you got behind the Moog? Is the Monome capable of similar stuff? Which do you prefer?

    Regards Matt

  • The white sequencers are the Fat Controllers. The monomes can do anything you can dream up that would be appropriate for the interface, but from a workflow perspective, they aren't really a substitute for a dedicated analog sequencer with CV outs.

  • where do you learn the skill to play this?

    it looks so complicated

    so cool!!

  • Thank goodness you've arrived here to judge my worthiness to own a piece of gear. I've been waiting for someone qualified to come along. Please, tell me more. I am your empty vessel. I await to drink from your fount of brilliance.

  • lol \o/ man even if I didn't know where C was at i'd love to have that gear.. congrats dude.. and it sure looks like you read the manual lol congrats again.

  • haha, ballin

  • You're such a poet..... have me.

  • ROFL

  • ha ha you owned him :) x

  • i thougth that moog are only monophonic? What about this?

  • At :51 I patch in a reverb. The return of the reverb is patched directly back into the voyager and processed further, modulated by the fat controllers. This technique can produce the illusion of polyphony.

  • this instrument is not much next to the access virus TI

  • The virus ti is VIRTUAL analog, this is REAL analog.

    Big difference.

  • hehe I know it sounds stupid but can you explane the diffrence? I'm a noob in these things xd

  • From Wiki:

An Analog Modeling Synthesizer is a synthesizer that emulates the sounds of traditional analog synthesizers using digital signal processing components. This method of synthesis is also referred to as Virtual Analog or VA. There is a vague consensus that while VAs can be useful and expressive instruments in their own right, they are not a replacement for real analog synthesizers.

Real analog synths sound warmer, richer and fatter. More organic in a way.

  • Stretta, can you talk about what parameters on the Voyager your controlling and changing with the Frostwave... Can the Frostwave be Clock Synced to a software DAW?

  • Fat controllers can be synced, naturally. The sequencers are modulating filter and waveform, IIRC.

  • aaaaaaaaaaaahhh...

thats a dream for synth junkies like me to be able to do stuff like that with the most complex of combinations of sliders and knobs.

  • I like wankery!

  • hehehe

  • Every time I play the Voayager at the store I feel disappointed. I miss that sharp Envelope attack that the Mini had. Why is that?

  • Yeah, bass stuff!!

The touchscreen thing is really nice too.

  • ok, nice but wont the alesis A6 give you analog and a step sequencer?

  • I have both and here is what I will say.

The A6 is sonically HUGE, and my Moog is sonically FAT

  • funky bass deal in the begining. i was watching someone else play on youtube...uh he should have bought the accordianmoog some bagpipes, kazzoo and pipeorgan... not gettin' it for me. btw you kind of "crapped" out on us with all the arpeggio stuff, keep doing the bass stuff.

  • ooo nice man

  • The pitch and mod controls are just too damned bitchin'.

  • yi got that roit!
