This is a bad repair job which probably costed hundreds of dollars to fix. Honestly if the crack if big enough the best option will be to get a replacement bumper and have it freshly painted. This is an example of a cheap repair job that will cost you a lot of money and will crack again in no time so you will keep bringing it back and wasting more money. A new bumper is going to save money, time, and frustration.
@EmericanMac No, while this repair isn't very good, the way I do it is cut the crack, dish the crack and fill it with a rubber patch on the back of the repair. Its the industry standard for flexible parts such as bumpers, fenders.
Sunday afternoon Stan! Cam handed poor repair job which will fall out in no time with the flexing of the bumper. Anybody who uses that mesh rubbish is have a go DIY twit. This is not a good example of repairing plastic bumbers!
@Weston1968 No, this just happened to my bumper cover and I'm looking for solutions. I find this video, and instead of you offering a correction or really any kind of information that would be helpful in any way, you're just shitting on it. I suppose that's par for the course with Youtube comments, though.
@C0rvus Then why not just ignore the comment in the first place? I just think people look for conflict sometimes! Mesh doesn't work because the bumper will flex & will eventually drop out. You wouldn't hack at a bumper with a grinder either. It is quite involved to do a good repair & unless you have got access to the correct tools & product along with being shown what to do give it to a Bodyshop to do or replace it with a 2nd hand one.
@Weston1968 Because 1.) as demonstrated, you have information I find valuable (so thank you for that) and 2.) it's a pet peeve of mine. You'll never be able to save the world, but that doesn't mean you can't point this stuff out when you see it.

@seans63lemansSD yea I do the same, you can also go to the store and buy a fiber glass kit and use that and sand it down and it work great.

Why did you use an epoxy? The bumper is more flexible than a Epoxy so its better to use an 2K-PU.

@Weston1968 Care to explain the proper way to do it, then, instead of just spouting off unhelpful insults and criticisms?

@C0rvus Why are you so you bothered about what I said 11 months ago. Is it you in the video attempting to repair that bumper?
