I have to disagree to some degree. To me, she had the horse set up to go crooked across it and save some distance. The horse, had it stayed on the path she set up, would have been fine. He jumped so far to the right and hit it. Although I do think she could have given him a more direct path.

no your wrong. you can fall off in cross country and you can fall off once in stadium. if your HORSE falls you are eliminated. just so you know. :)

No, I'm not wrong. I'm right. Check the rulebook, page 41. First fall of competitor is elimination and first fall of horse is mandatory retirement.

Not in the olympics. If your HORSE falls you are eliminated. If you fall you have one more chance, but have i think 46 penalties

This is not the Olympics. This is a CCI**** event held in the United States and therefore governed by the rules set forth by the United States Eventing Association, which specify that first fall of horse OR rider is elimination.
