This video could not be any more gay! The video only succeeds in showing how gay this tv show is. You wonder why it got canceled? Bad storyline, poor plot (if there is a sliver of one), TERRIBLE acting, even more TERRIBLE of a book, and not to mention retarded names of people/countries/animals within the franchise.

The differences are HUGE I agree. So instead of bellyaching about it, accept it as a different fantasy story. Sure we all know the books are better by a mile but which movie is ever better than the book?
If you are going to watch it, look at it from a new perspective.

LMAOOO you cant even compare the two.. ive read all the lotr books and the sword of truth series.... the lotr books have MUCH more depth and history and is also the basis of all fantasy books.. the sword of truth was good but did not have the depth of a true fantasy and was basically an author trying to rant on about his beliefs through his characters. Also, Goodkind would repeat stuff already known in every book which made it boring..authors that rival tolkien-George RR Martin and Robert Jordan
Robert Jordan, huh? I've been trying so hard to get into his Wheel of Time series...I'm on the first book The Eye of the World, but can't get past the 5th chapter? Does it get really good eventually? I hope it does cause I really wanna read it, but there's so much info to that book that I can't get into it. Someone please tell me that the series is worth reading...I have Martin's A Game of Thrones, also, but haven't gotten into that yet either..
he gets better, he has almost no storytelling art in his writing for the first three, the story and characters are amazing, keep reading it gets much better, as for terry goodkind: the plot in the sword of truth and charactors and his constantly repeating himself, two three times not just from book to book but inside one. however, what he lacked in plot or charactor depth, he more than made up for in writing. he pulls you into the story better than any other auther i have ever read.
the wheel of time gets 20390293 times better lol.. its a must read,,, but the ABSOLUTEE MUSSTTT READDDDD IS GAME OF THRONES,,, u may never be as happy in reading something in your life lol.. its just fantastic
Sorry, I'm going to have to go with reekthegreek on this one. Sword of Truth isn't even in the same league as LOTR. For one, Tolkien doesn't go crazy halfway through the series and start writing 20 page monologues that repeat themselves over and over. And just the fact that Goodkind somehow thinks his works transcend the fantasy genre to become something more is just a joke. Where does the guy get the ego?
