I love this song, good memories when I was a teenager. CULT is in my mind. What a powerfull voice. The sound, the guitars, Ian and Billy ... what a sound.
This the era in which Ian was really close to his best and since getting with Duffy he started really singing to some powerful chord progressions. However the band was trying to give the people what they wanted at the time on stage, which was New Wave/Goth/Glam. But rest assured that the Love/Electric period was their apex, creatively speaking.
The Love album is in my top 5 albums of all time. I used to not like this song but it eventually grew on me. Never did like Black Angel but everything else is great. One throwaway song out of 10 is pretty damn good.
I think Ian looks tuff, attractive and the way i always tried to look in the 80's and to this day. I am 100% hetero I find nothing attractive about male's. i think it's great for everyone to be who they are that's what the 80's were all about and these days we have gone backwards rather than forwards in many respects...rather like some other fundamentalist countries.
