@Rapturepkz The owner is one of the top GT-R tuners in North America. If he wants to build his personal GT-R for drag racing, more power to him. (ps: he also does road course) Previously, he specialized in Subarus. He drag raced his STI, too. (600whp, badass)

@tribalformula hmm with a dual clutch it can shift faster than any human can, also shifts at the perfect rpm to hit the peak HP/Torque.... explain to me why manual is better?

@frasercorey manual usually supports much higher Torque and Power than auto transmissions. Thats the only reason for a manual in a car like this.

@speedsociety really man if you think a manual in this car would benefit it then your crazy, the computer shifts it at the perfect rpm every time and has no shift lag time. The onboard computer makes it hit the peak hp/torque.

@frasercorey like i said, the only reason for a manual is higher torque/power. If you go over a certain amount of torque, manual is the only option in most cases. Dont know where the GT-R transmission has its limits though. Other than that this is one the very best transmissions in the world and shouldnt be changed.

@speedsociety I don't about imports, but that's not true about muscle car. I know of 7 second muscle cars with torques above 1000ft.lbs on manual transmissions. In fact a lot of us Camaro guys switch from T56 (6 speed Viper RT10 gearbox) to the old school TH400 (3 speed automatic) for drag racing. I'm talking about cars that can't hold the front tires on the ground when they launch.

Not to say that your GTR sucks, because it is a very badass ride and I would love to drive that AWD monster. But to call muscle cars flacid, come on. I'll bet you could find more than a hand full of flacid muscle cars on this web site that would eat your GTR alive.

@alphaqlater It would be like a bi-plane VS the F-22 Raptor for sure, but have you heard of the TRANS-AM series or the pro-touring trend in muscle cars? I have seen quite a few muscle cars, first hand, pull more than a G in lateral turning force. It would be awesome to set up a track day to find out what a properly set up muscle car would do against the GTR.

@alphaqlater That would actually be a really close race. I think a stock Z06 would edge out a GTR in a road race. The GTR would probably out handle a Z06, but the Vette would make that up in HP in the straighter parts. Bailey's Beast would probably eat a stock Z06 alive.

@babyz3us Both are great values for the HP, handling, and fun they offer. But as far as one beating the other, from what I have seen, the Vette's HP pulls away from the GTR every time. It also comes down to driver talent, and that is hard to match up sometimes.

@JCImageInk in order for you to setup a muscle car to hit a track and compete against a gtr at a track course you would need to involve so much more in computers compensation in lbs and so on then the car would be disowned as a true muscle car. muscle cars belong in a str8 line.

@JCImageInk are you aware at what makes the GTR great for cornering and so on? the systems that are in it basically str8 it out so that it can correct its drivers flaws. front wheel assist and so on. the front wheels help pull it around the corners. dont care how much you fix suspension on a muscle car without some sort of wild front wheel setup you are not turning the corner nowhere near as fast as the GTR in a muscle car period. i have owned many muscle cars.

@JCImageInk um i just did a search on those two cars and they are not good examples at all of a import modified vehicle at all. if thats what you have to base against a muscle car then i can see why you like the muscle cars. i have had the bmw m3 turbo'd to 400+hp and now i have a 240sx with the skyline motor in it modded to around 400hp at the wheels and compared to my older cameros and cutlass and camino there is no way they can handle on the track against the 240sx modified

my supra will beat it but if i had 2 chose between GTR and Supra id have both 94' Supra 6Speed Targa Top White GT4718R I have fully forged block when running 1.4 Bar 784Hp when running 2.4 Bar 1023Hp Shit load of parts im not naming them all but i have JLINE SDMrl2 rims (gold) but i usually use my volk GTC Face 2 in black.You ask why i have no pictures or videos of my car its because when ever i have my supra at the house i dont give care about recording it.
