the mics run into the interface to trigger Drumagog samples on individual channels (it's a quick, easy way to get drum sounds. especially if you can't get the sounds with the drums themselves.) not too strange of a production technique. The cymbals, however, are still what we hear, no triggered sounds.

I'm pretty sure all of the drum sounds are triggered. he only stopped using them recently, if i understand correctly. the sounds aren't actually his drums, they're samples.

@whophead007 you can get plugin triggers for programs like cubase and such, which is a virtual trigger. You record the sound in through the mic piss about with the threshold on the trigger so it picks up only the sounds you want it to trigger, then use something like reason or whatever to trigger a MIDI sample.
