Hi Bob, first time caller here. Just wanted to say how much I'm enjoying listening to your fine playing. I plan to listen to more of your offerings and I've subscribed to your channel. Could you tell us a little about the guitars you use? Inquiring minds ~ Thanks to JazzyEdwin24 for aiming me in your direction.
@FriPilot Hi Fri, Thanks for the sub and your comments. I appreciate it. About the guitars: Not nearly enough room here. Many of the videos have blurbs about the guitar used in that video. The best guitars I have are really inexpensive, I wouldn't part with them. My favorite is an Epiphone 175, around $500. My best guitar for recording is a Hondo (blonde with white pickups), Japan, 1980s, cost no more than $250 on its best day. :-))
@FriPilot [part 2] The best guitar I've ever had in my hands is a small merlot-colored Redentore made by Mark Piper. It's now owned by Joe Don Rooney of Rascal Flatts. Every aspect of a guitar that makes it a good guitar are embodied in that one single guitar. I've had all of those features before, but not all at the same time. An amazing guitar.
Have fun browsing around my channel. I'm really glad to know there are people who still like that kind of stuff.
@titabemaso That sort of thing happens with age ... you tend to forget what tune you're playing ... so no telling what snippets from other tunes might pop up. If you listen carefully, there's also a phrase from "Call Me" buried in there somewhere. Thanks. I appreciate your comment. Best, Bob
@drofrub1 There ya go! Proof positive that I'm not really a good-for-nothing! It's good to know I serve some useful purpose. :-)) By the way, you can tell your husband I'm still trying to figure out an acceptable to put this stuff on a DVD. Getting it on DVD isn't the problem, but creating an intelligent index so you can go directly to a particular video is proving problematic. I have Sony Vegas Pro, the best program on the market, and it won't do it. I'll keep you posted. Thanks, by the way.
@profjair Thank you so much, Jair. Your comment means a lot especially coming from a great guitarist such as you. I send my best regards to you and Rio! RIO!!! (I am so jealous!)
lovely stuff, Bob. Thanks.
