  • what does he mean when the narrator says: lost in time, lost in space and meaning?

i never seen this movie but i reali want to

  • I might have done some drugs back then but I don't remember the ending being like this. I was also one of the Spinners turning the Globe around it didn't happen like this scene.

  • stumble stumble fall.

    stumble stumble fall.

    stumble stumble stay.

WHERE'S MY SLUT OH WHERE'S MY SLUT.

WHERE'S MY ASSHOLE OH WHERE'S MY ASSHOLE.

  • This is the best song in the whole show imo. Shame it's so short

  • yeah its a very cool song

  • So the humans died to?

  • No there is a sequel that they are in called Shock Treatment.

  • "And crawling on the planets face face. Some insects, called the Human Race. Lost in time and in space and meaning." That phrase gives my the goosebumps everytime, and its so in depth. Genius x

  • GOOSEBUMPS! *weeps*

    I love this version...

  • now i can die in peace knowing that i have in fact seen everything

  • I remember someone saying that if they did a remake that Paris Hilton should play in it.

I should of slapped that person right then and there. 1 for suggesting a remake, and 2 for saying Paris Hilton should be in it.

This movie is pure gold, and any remake would never be as good as this one.

Some movies can have remakes, some wouldnt seem right. This, it is beyond logic to try to make a remake.

  • Here here

in fact you should retroactively B!tc# slap

that fool for ever even thinking that sh!t

  • I believe MTV is working on a remake with Marylin Manson as Frank. It's going to be shit.

  • shit or not.. i'd see it...

and if it does suck... well, i wont see it again...

  • Just because it had the essence of this amazing play I would go to see it....But like the other guy said if it sucked I wouldnt see it again

  • You're absolutely right. Paris Hilton is a talentless moron, and this movie does not need to be remade. This fixation with remaking movies needs to stop; it's getting way out of control-- Hollywood needs to come up with some original ideas

  • You think they all died?

  • dudee.. i freakin looove it when susan sarandon enters.. thats gives me chills.. the way she sings, the way she crawls, its awesome! its like so beautiful.

  • Definitely the best version of this song.

The guitar in this, the lyrics, the voices.

    *Shudders*

    It makes my skin crawl.

    I love it.

  • Is it it me or is Janet's corset the only one that stays up?

  • Ugh. Removing that completely killed the American release. Without it . . . there are just people randomly swimming in fog, for no reason. Seriously. D8

  • I agree completely.

  • susan sarandon is something else!!!!!

    <3

  • What's the criminologists end quote mean?

  • And crawling on the planets face, some insects called the human race, lost in time and lost in space and meaning."

Basically that humans are insignificant and ignorant, a lower life form not to be considered worthy of attention.

  • MTV remake... that MTV for ya. Killed music and now cult classics. What next? Books?

  • knock on wood...

  • This song is great, love the prose at the end.

  • now that ive seen this the american version just seems incomplete every time i see it ._.

  • It's too bad this song isn't in the American version

  • Sweeet Movie. Bravo.

I may see the remake, but it will NEVER be as great as the original with Tim Curry.

Who will they use for Rocky? Zac Efron?! :P

  • this is by far my favorite scene in the entire movie. the song is gorgeous, and janet is freaking hot right here...can't even explain it... :D

  • Charles Gray is fucking awesome.

  • i feel ashamed to say i recognized tim curry from the wild fucking thornberries. i hated that show. haha.

  • i called it the wild dingleberries now that is hate

  • THATS WHERE HE'S FROM?!?!? OPMFG! i knew i recognized his voice from somere but i couldnt for the life of me figure out where!

  • why the hell would someone remake this? this movie is and original movie and no1 can ever top this even with special effects! and ive known this movie ever since i was 3 my mum and i watch it when ever we can!

  • remake what the hell youre talking bout?

  • Starring Marilyn Manson coming October 2009...

    Load of bullshit

  • That is really #%@$ed up you know. Just found it. Thanks for telling me. But damn they have no right, cuz Im sure it was re-copy righted. Only thing I can see RoB allowing this is that he call foul after it made and make money from it. But you dont think he'll do that do you? sigh. The hell this world is coming to be. Hey I got a great idea why instead of a petition, we each do something to show we dont want it and post it on here? hehehe.

  • or just boy-cott if there is a remake and hold a strike, not allowing and forcing others to not see the remake

  • I love this song so much, but . . . I don't quite understand it. Can somebody explain to me what it means?

  • i think they were singing about them getting messed up in the head thank to frank n futer and the super hero is riff Raff and his sister becouse they kina saved them

  • Sooo... did they turn out ok?

  • Yes They turn out fine they as in Brad and Janet are in another movie called Shock Treatment!! Also done by Richard O'Brien!!

  • hmm, notable...

  • Shock Treatment was a failed attempt at a sequel.

  • It wasn't really a sequel

  • not a sequel. an equal, as if Rocky Horror never was. I deem it excellent.

  • Susan Sarandon, who was the original Janet, slammed the remake saying "Why would anyone want to do a remake of a cult classic? There was at one time a sequel discussed with me—and they may have even done it, I'm not sure—but none of us were really interested."

LOL the original cast is slamming the remake and it's not even out yet. Good for them.. I can't believe they are remaking this amazingly wonderful movie.

  • Duh, Susan - of course they "did it", it was Shock Treatment!

(What I think is funny is that neither Barry nor Susan seems to have ever seen "Shock Treatment". Barry just admitted that recently, and Susan apparently doesn't know it exists!)

  • Haha, that's kind of funny. Kind of sad though, because I love Shock Treatment.

  • same.

  • lol, I've never seen it . . .but I doubt it's as good as the original. . . I'll give it a shot though I guess, if I can find it.

  • this movie makes no sense.

    i love it.

and no remake would be even a quarter as good as this. <3 tim curry.

  • Rofl. Dr. Scott is still in panty hoses. +D

  • Who in the world would be able to play the roles? I don't think mtv deserves to do a remake of this movie. I have seen this movie countless times and you should not fix something that isn't broken. IT IS A CULT CLASSIC FOR A REASON!!!

  • Everything once good will be remade and killed in the face.

God this is disappointing news. Certainly the repro will be CG overlayed and utterly fail on all fronts. Frankenfurter will probably be updated to some Marilyn Manson type recreation. The farther I think on it, the more depressing it is.

  • heheheh i like that hes tried to find the truth hes even lied lol

  • this song always reminded me of the end song for the tv show the incredible hulk what do u think?

  • The end little monologue reminded me of Plan 9 From Outer Space.

  • i thought they were from denton texas :P

  • thnks for posting xx

  • I Loveee This Film Its Amazing & I Would Class It As The Best Film Ever I Really Would! The Ending Is Sooooo Intense Its Phenomenal & I Get Shivers Up My Spin When Tha Old Man At Tha End Says: 'And Crawling On The Planets Face.. Some Insects Called The Human Race' LOVE IT Cnt Stop Watching The Ending & The Start Of The Film Is Amazing Too :D x INFACT! THA WHOLEEEEE THING IS!
  • Thank you for posting this. I had to come watch the whole thing straight through after reading that MTV has the gall to announce a remake. I mean, how can you remake something so bad it's good?

I've never seen it in the theaters, only with friends in college (all-women cast; we had the cutest Brad!) but I still got it, even in the ivory tower in the early 90s.

It really is a classic. A classic WHAT I'm not sure, but classic. And this from... *drumroll* a classics major! :)

  • They're making a remake of it!!! You can't make a remake of this movie it just won' work!!

  • wtf r u 4 real? they're remaking it?! with who britney spears?? fuck them!! I smell a boycott coming

  • lol shock treatment is the sequel but it sucks so i wouldnt recomend seeing it

  • Yeah man i have the dvd and its the UK one dont play the American version on the dvd go for the UK yeah baby Super Heros

  • Man it was years before I finally saw this scene.

  • Oh mah god. I finally get the movie!! lmfao i finally figured out who crim. is and everyone! i kinda don't get the ending though

  • I think Riff raff is suposed to be the villian.

Sorta like when King Kong is killed, but he is not a villian. He was kidnped and caged so he fought back(king kong, not Frankie).

Like when Riff Raff points out that Frankies crime is that he was ...nothing, except his example might make people less uptight.

  • Well yeah but he kind of hated him because Frankie had treated him real bad through out the movie so he really killed him because he was pissed at him.

Riff Raff and Magenta my fav. charecters!!! :D

  • so they get caught in the teleport?

  • I thought they were just in the smoke of the launch

  • You ever think that the "Lonely Man" theme from the Incredible Hulk TV series kinda sounds like the initial piano bit from "Super Heroes"?

  • i dont get the ending......?

  • Cant complain at the both theaters I did it nearly 20 years ago in college we had Superhero prints which were/are very rare. We also had a VERY rare clear copy w/o jumps etc.

  • this is undoubtedly one of the greatest movies of all time (it can't be the greatest becuz that title belongs 2 casablanca, but this is 2nd best).

  • i love this movie its soo full of poetic imagery and yeah Columbia is my fav :)

  • i love this song so much

  • AP: It's Susan Sarandon starring in CATS!

  • i love the last line "and crawling on the eaths face some insects called the human race lost in time lost in space and meaning" so poetic and beautiful my myspace is all about the Rocky Horror Picture Show i know all of the lines i've been watching this sice i can remember i love this movie Columbia is my fav

  • Love the ending!

    Love the music!

    Love Tim Curry!

    Awesome movie!

  • dont forget to shut off the globe....he forgot to shut it off again

  • wonder what happens to them.

  • I always wondered. I also noted that Brad and Janet looked like they were searching fr each other but couldn't find each other. Such an odd ending-they don't really let you know.

  • yeah but thats the thing ...even though u want to know if they ever get back ..its better that u dont ..i think thats what makes this movie so awesome ..u dont have to know what happens to them

  • there is a second movie film script. the movie was never made though.

  • my bro shaun is mad about this film but the end is grate

  • its on the internet

  • i don't get it

    what happend at the end????

  • Magenta and Riffraff go back to their home planet while the humans are left to muse on how forever changed they are from the experience. That's my impression anyways.

  • Ending seems kind of a downer. What do you think, fans?

  • Maybe it's just because I'm insane, but I found the ending to be poetic and artistic.

  • I don't doubt how artistic and poetic the ending is: frankly, it seems appropriate to see "Blowfeld" citing a rhyming monologue about "insects call the human race." =3

  • I like the ending.

Its interesting. but us Americans had to delete that scene from our version becuase it was dubed "too depressing"

Americans suck. But the British get it.

  • Thats the same ending I saw in the 70s in Miami.

  • then they were playing the UK version in the theater, they usually do

  • And the UK version is a bit closer to X rated than the American Version, though they are both amazing. UK is better though.

  • Ahh! The spinnging part maked me dizzy!

  • spinning*

  • this movie is so trippy

my dad used to wake me up when i was little if it came on so i could watch it

thats some good father daugter bonding

  • my dad did the same, how may other of you got woke up by your dad to watch this musical?

  • right here! But he rented it!!

  • Even smiling makes my face ache.

  • my fav song!

  • woooo. i am lost in meaning...

  • The music and weeping guitar kind of reminds me of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. Anyone else catch that?

  • yes youre right

  • I couldn't remember where it came from. Yeah this is a RARE scene!! Good work Rocky for posting this too!!!

  • Seriously, I don't know why I got negatives. Can someone PLEASE tell me where this scene came from? Because I have the 25th anniversary edition and only the last half of this number (the Criminologist's part) is on it. Ditto the screen/stage interactive I did. It wasn't on that DVD, either.

  • Thats weird it should be on your DVD's, I have a normal version of this and this scene is on mine!

  • Hmm . . . strange. I'll have to ask one of my friends if I can borrow her DVD (we have the same edition) and see if it's on hers.

  • There should be a UK version to switch to when you first start the movie. The US version wont show it.

  • AHA. So THAT'S why! Thank you so much! (I always wondered what the difference was. I suppose now I'll have to go watch the UK version and see if I've been missing anything else.)

  • your not missing anything else the only thing your missing from the UK version is this scene and that's really it,but still watch it.

  • i missed the end of the movie!! what happens? please tell me and in lots of detail. i love the movie!

  • This is my favorite song in the whole movie.

  • Can someone explain this scene to me. Why are Brad & Janet so upset? It's not like anyone they know & love was killed.

  • I think its more shock than anything else. I don't want to spoil it for people who haven't seen it before but they have been through an awful lot in a very short space of time! Also they did see 4 people die and you know where one of them ended up! So I think Brad and Janet have a right to be a bit upset :)

  • well..it was both their first times with Franky,so they HAVE to be upset about taht, and about Rocky dying.

    Its lamenting bout that.

  • I love this movie but there is a MASSIVE mistake at the end:

Just before this song Brad and Janet CARRY Dr Scott out of the house supporting him either side. But when we see Dr Scott lying on the floor he has a mangled WHEEL CHAIR all around him - where did that come from?!

Other than that it's an awsome film :)

  • well janet and brad can barrly walk so thay can't have moved him there so that is a real mistery.can't spell today.

  • Hey, this isn't in my version! Where'd it come from? It's like an extended version of the Criminologist's ending. (I remember it from when I saw the stage show, though.)

  • fucking amazing

  • I think people are put off because of the 'f' word used in that sentence. just fyi.

  • with the guitar even the crinminologist sounds badass

  • I agree. The guitar is awesome. Plus the few lyrics in the song are just perfect.

  • good to watch it again,it took me back. awesome guitar in this scene

  • u love u fer putting this up :]]]]

  • Just watched the whole 35 scenes, just as good as I remember! Plus, I love the piano at the end of this scene, gives me tingles! One of the greatest musicals/films ever!

  • OH MY GOD! That was so good! I have never seen it because I've never been curious enough to click on the UK version

  • wouldnt mind hearing CRADLE OF FILTH doing a badass version of this, think they could pull it off in their own SPECIAL way.

  • that would be probably the greatest song ever written

  • I concur

but they'd need to add more lyrics or something. Maybe they could just turn Crim's lines into lyrics.

  • Bastard Riff Raff! I fucking hate him. Cunt... Frank-n-Furter should have lived! He was hot...and funny...and had a good voice...and, well you get the picture. But Riff Raff shouldn't have killed him *continues to murmur on*

  • Aww, but I've always loved Riffraff.

You cant not hate the creepy guy!

    xD

FranknFurter and Columbia should've lived though.

  • The Floor Show was funny. Still, Riffraff shouldn't have killed Frank N Furter 'cause he's funny. Who played as Frank N Furter anyway?

  • Tim Curry. The only man in history who can pull off the stockings and suspenders look.

  • tim curry

  • Hey now dont down RiffRaff I myself hate the ending to the RHPS Frank should have lived the Real thing thats sad is that in some DVD "super heroes" song was cut out why cut out this song its great!! Still Love RiffRaff love Frank love this MOVIE Rock on RHPS FANS!!

  • i think its the U.S. versions its cut out. my dvd has both US n UK which has super heroes

  • thanks for posting, I like to flip back to different scenes listening to the songs from my favorite parts of the show

  • This is the UK version, right?

I have the US and UK version on my DVD, and on the US version it cuts off before this song.

  • yeah mine too

  • this song has alwayz reminded me of 9/11. is just has that kinda meloncholey sound to it

  • you are amazing - thanks so much for posting this movie!!

  • this movie is so cool ^^ weird, but cool :D
