THIS GAME ! Was so awesome back in 2003 and is still one of my favorites, why is it not as well known as other games of that period ?

The Skaarj were one of the few redeeming qualities of Unreal 2. Unfortunately, they were too easy compared to Unreal 1, and basically appeared only in the beginning of the game.

U2 had a lot of cool planned features that could have made it like a true sequel to Unreal and an all around better game, but many of them were cut due to Atari forcing Legend's hand

It's a shame, because it seems like given more time, we would have had Mass Effect in the Unreal universe (first person obviously)

I agree, it totally had that 90's sci fi movie vibe. It was just full with creepy weirdness in a really subtle way. Sometimes it was like being on a fever trip.

l love unreal games, and unreal 2 was fun to play, very nice graphic storyline and gameplay!

It sucks compared to the first Unreal but it isnt a bad game, the music is good, the level and characters design is nice too, i dont like how they didnt used original Unreal/UT weapons but still the weapons of this game are fun and well balanced, sure it wasnt the new Unreal the fans were waiting for, but its still a better game than some other classic FPS "recent" sequels like Doom 3 or Quake 4 and more interesting and original than those unoriginal and over rated "new FPS" like CoD or FEAR...

Not is a bad shooter as the people say. Yes, the history is bad , but also it has good graphics, good guns, good intensity and good design levels for her time. For me a decent shooter 7.5/10 sorry for my bad english ;)

Unreal 1 was better, but this game deserves way more props than it gets. They definitely did a good job on keeping the horror aspect of the Skaarj from the original in it.

the story is just great...this game was CRYSIS of 2003. It raped everything in it's path in graphic terms.

Even today it has some effects that still makes me think : how it was possible back then!.

Only retards who dont know shit abou PC gaming, would say this is a crap game. I would buy right now if i have the chance.

That's the whole idea, Unreal Tournament 2003 was released at the same time as Unreal 2. Why would they make 2 of the same game? People like you are the reason these great single player first person shooters never get made.
