  • whether or not this is your original footage, i fell in love with this song because of this video. nice job. love the mood. creepy and comical. awesome.

  • Its an outrage that this song was on the bottom of the page when I searched "Nothing to you"

  • that clip with the little boy with face paint is on adult swim!!! i only remember cause i was tripping balls when i saw it hahah

  • 'Cause I'm gay as a choir boy for you

  • I don't like sharing my feelings.

  • is this an original video? because it looks legit.

  • Isn't the clip around 3:50 from thatanti-graffiti PSA called the vandals? Maybe it was a different one...

  • That. Is. SO. Clever!!!

  • I'm just going to be totally unoriginal and say great footage and great editing :)

    I love it!

  • We'll walk under street lamps forever...

  • what is this video from???

  • 1:37 greatest thing I have ever seen

  • let me tell you, this video is perfect. amazing job. AMAZINGGGG job.

  • these guys are just great

  • I couldn't get tickets when these guys played London, how much does that suck.

  • Mmmh funny that story cause if you mean that concert 3 years ago in London, they were damn cool! =° =)

You should have try getting in without ticket, cause my friend managed to do that for her and I ! Thank to her =D

  • i know this well to well! i am nothing to someone!!! it sux!!

  • me and my friend play a cover of this song and its so fun because its in six

  • Saw these guys twice in a basement in Colorado Springs. Place called the High Life House and it was just this house that people lived in and converted the basement into a place for bands. Imagine a house party with these guys playing in the basement... twice. I think was was back in '03 or '04. Fun times.

  • It's so dams cliche that it's clever

it's so fuckin false you think that it's true

cause all that I know is I'm nothing to you.."S

  • "your heart is so cold that it shivers" i love it

  • this is all ...i'm thinking about her....

    this song resmbles me

    i'm the song

i'm drunk aswell.. but it' trrue

  • Where did you get all this great retro footage?

  • I'm gay as a choir boy for this song.

  • @AllandAboveOfficial cant we all just get along

  • @JamboyStu So this song is gay?

  • @ijurcough no

  • @JamboyStu Pretty sure you just admitted that.

  • @ijurcough You are a teensy bit dumb :)

  • I love this, This is beautiful, it matches the song so well, in such a way that I cannot explain.

    Great Job!

  • @Z3R0xH4T3 because you're not smart enough. Godamn Hippie

  • @CoreyCreate fucks ur problem homie.. jus come on here talkin shit.. damn bro. cant u find a better way to waste ur time

  • i love two gallants why won't they come to england again and not support some bozo band like elbow

  • it hurts when you pee.

  • it most certainly does not

  • try now

  • what about now?

  • NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • what about now?

  • Sheer Perfection... This band is incredible!

  • wat the fuck does that mean?

  • beautiful

  • no haha it just a lyric

  • no dude.... he meant gay like happy... i think? and plus it's just a lyric

  • I lovelovelovelove this song.

  • I see your point as well, but I guess I just meant those trembling, heartfelt vocals, and the poetic lyrics that come with the music. Those are the two huge commonalities I recognized between the two artists. This is a wonderful song, though.

  • Very much like Bright Eyes.

  • don't agree pal but i can see where you're coming from.

i.m.o this is classic folk with a rock twist with a lyrical content that speaks to me in a much more personal way than bright eyes ever has.

    just my opinion though.

  • The shoe in the first frame is definitely in a drivers ed video they made me watch when I took defensive driving to clear a speeding ticket...

I'd recognize that ugly bastard anywhere.

  • I don't think "long summer day" was even written by Two Gallants. I am pretty sure it was written by a black guy in the early 1900's. I have never heard that, that's just what I thought by listening to the lyrics. If it was written by Two Gallants, it was written in the perspective of a black guy trying to vote. it's an awesome song illustrating the struggle for basic rights that we take for granted daily.

  • I am pretty sure it was written by them, but you're right about the second part

  • Long summer day was definately written by Two Gallants, but is based on a song of the same name by Moses Platt, borrowing a few lyrics from the original but otherwise changing it

  • ya, haha, long summer day says the "N" word like 5 times, but this song is amazing!

  • i think this is the firrst f word i heard from two gallants

  • they say the "N" word in one of their songs.

  • If there is a video by this band that isn't genius, tell me

  • the band didnt make this video.

  • this video is awesome. You should do this as a living if posible.

  • what is the film called with all the kids as clowns? looks intresting

  • i just came

  • I don't have a clue why, but this video goes well with this song.

    great job

  • Does anyone know what album this version of "Nothing To You" is on? The version I have off of "The Throes" is way different, and just not as good.

  • I have this version, and my Itunes says its from the Throes. Sometimes the song on the music video is slightly different from the album version, if they didnt use the album version as the real track, they rerecorded it for the music video. Just try downloading it(again?).

  • 1. This isn't the real music video

    2. The Throes version is definitely different, it's slower, longer, and has different lyrics in parts. Sometimes the lyrics are better than this version, sometimes worse. This version is missing the best line, though. "My love is so blind that it stumbles, but now darling now it don't trip over you."

  • Ah. Well thanks for clearing it up. I didnt know this wasnt the actual video either, good job author.

That is indeed a good line, but I enjoy this version very much, hearing it different would be rather strange.

  • If you go to CNET, you should be able to find it there, it's the one I have.

  • good job

  • Whenever I hear him sing "I followed you into the party", I always think of that guy in the blue shirt with a weird expression on his face

  • Now I do, too. lol.

  • This really is a terrific video, it suits the song perfectly. Thank you! Two Gallants are amazing!

Down by the riverside, wasting away

  • Down by the riverside, beating the clay.

    ...I think.

  • Both, actually.

  • Yeah, I knew I was typing the second part of it, but I wasn't sure if that was what they actually said or not.

  • feet in the clay

  • this should be the official video, so great. and love the song.

  • oh shit, its only just hit me that this isn't a real video, you made it yourself? thats fucking fantastic... i thought it was an official gallants video... great job mate :)

  • Man, I'm not even entirely sure why i like this video, but I think it's fantastic. Awesome job.

  • nice...

  • Two Gallants kick ass, plain and simple.

And this vid is a damn good piece of work man.

  • gorgeous

  • beautiful

  • That was such a great video!

  • nice work

  • most impressive video ive ever seen.

  • Goddamn that's a great video man. Creepy in all the right ways. Nice work. Where the hell did you get this footage? All 1950-70's educational flicks right?

  • Trippy, powerful video. Nicely done. Still, working with such great music must make the task a little easier... :D

  • hehe, like this kind of stuff. nice vid.

  • the video was put together really well but anything from the 50's-70's creeps me out O_O

  • I love this band

    there music is so beautiful

I hope they play ireland soon

  • Want more Two Gallants! We recently shot their show at Gramercy Hall. Check out our profile!

  • this isnt spam

  • i liked where you were going with this, needs to make more of a point though, too many random clips

  • Hm. Not sure if I should say symbolism, or metaphor, actually...

Saying she's like the clown or showing what the make-up represents...

I guess we can call it a joint-custody.

  • The symbolism in the transition between the "class clown" pulling the girl's hair and the girl putting on her make-up was a REALLY bright idea and it went well with the lyric "..yet, I claim to be one of the few."

    Good job.

  • They're amazing, and so is this video. Seriously.

  • im going to see them in the electric picnic, ireland next week, excellent duo.

  • this should be the official video :D i love it

  • one of the few bands that manage to make every song they sing really touch you every time. so so good...

  • i agree exactly

  • i agree exactly also.

  • I just saw these guys in Tallahassee on tour with Against Me!. It was a really great performance.

  • yeah you are totally right. i'm an idiot. thanks

  • i make love to my 40, or 22 ouncer

  • Two key elements to this beautiful diddy. The BIG sounds of Frisco's 2GS, and talented video editing with impressive archival film clip archaeology. "And it's down by the riverside, wasting away, down by the riverside, feeding the clay"

    - Hunter aka bAReFoOT (Frisco beatmaker/hippie-hopper)

  • I believe the correct lyrics are "feet in the clay"; not "feeding the clay".

  • its beating the clay, as in walking on it

  • sorry, its "feet in the clay"

  • wow, really great!

  • great job on this.

  • great.

  • when did these guys come out? are they the 70's?

  • no there with saddle-creek, there about 5 years old

  • Cool vid...I stumbled drunk into a bar in Iowa city one night last summer and saw these guys live, and they were amazing...

  • Gay as a choir boy for you

  • Who put this video together?

  • I did. Hope you like it :)

  • down by the riverside wasting away...mama i'm nothing to you

  • Such a good song.

  • I'm impressed

  • Such a good band, I'm happy I've seen them play live.

  • I like how the video got progressively darker.

    And I love this song.

    Great job.
