  • this flip is the reason why Daytona removed more grass during repraving. U will noticed the differences next week. The grass now starts at bus stop turn.

  • this weekend baby!!! Whose gonna be the first to flip on the new daytona surface? The ARCA race is most likely gonna tell us!

  • Barry's thoughts:

0:45 Darn it, I spun! Gotta hold onto it...

0:48 OH CRAP OH CRAP OH CRAP

0:57 Is it over? I think it's over...

    0:58 Crap, no, it's not over. :/

  • i miss berry he is such a great guy

  • @eleventydude4ever what happend to him? does he race anymore?

  • @18sux29rox he will be racing again this year in the ARCA series the 06 car again his daughter told me so lol

  • @eleventydude4ever Nice! Ill be rutting for Barry. Lets hope he stays on the ground next Friday!

  • I hate when people say they should make the cars stay on the ground. It's a racing accident. Flipping is a whole lot better than what happened to Elliott Sadler at Pocono

  • this is the only real barrel roll this year.

  • @18sux29rox calderwood at irwindale

  • @kingofrunescapepking he only rolled twice and pretty lazy rolls.

  • hopefully they'll pave that grass when they repave the track...that's the only good that can come from the repaving

  • It's kinda freaky because the window net's loose while the car's flipping. It's not attached when the car rolls for the second time.

  • arca drivers need to learn how to drive. Two flips in one race.

  • This wreck had nothing to do with aerodynamics. The car is setup for left hand turns. Very aggressive camber on the left side, low left side tire pressure and cross weight being more to the left cause these cars to turnover.

  • There's something wrong with the aerodynamics of these cars, and even the COT's. I think it has a lot to do with the giant gap from the rear bumper to the ground... but one way to keep them from flipping is to make them much heavier. The amound of lift needed to make a car fly would therefore need to increase.

  • ARCA RACES ARE WRECK FESTS!!! THE DRIVERS DONT KNOW HOW TO HANDLE THEIR CARS AND THE RESULT CAN BE FATAL!!! o and btw its the slick mist 200 not 250

  • @coldv1 so do u

  • You dont even know what I look like chink faggot.

  • okay. they say COT's lift off the ground easily. when they had ARCA type cars, they did blowovers almost every superspeedway race. and the ARCA's flip almost everywhere.

  • I saw his window net release while the car was flipping! There is even a picture of it! Glad he's okay.

  • those were the actual cars that the Cup Series drove and Nationwide Series drives. Matt flipped just like this last year at Talladega. The cot cars are alot bigger and heavier so that they cant flip over as easy. And the funny thing is that both Jill George's flip and Barry Fitzgerald flip had nothing to do with the air getting under the back of the car. The cars flipped from turning to fast. Just glad everyone was okay in all crashes.

  • saying that though. Look at Ryan Newman and Carl Edwards last year at Talladega

  • @joe24chevy bigger and heavier cars flip more easily because they are top-heavy...just look at all the wrecks that happened last year-logano, martin, newman, edwards, and others

  • @anthonystuart69 And the odd thing is when you named Alot of cars that flipped in 2009. How its a little ironic was the reason NASCAR build these Cot cars was to prevent cars flipping. Well there were at least 4 flips and monster crashes(watkins glen raceway-Sam Hornish Jr-Gordon-Burton) And much more. Jack Roush said that he wanted the old cars with the new car's safety. (Saw on a tv show on Speed Channel)

  • They alos build the Cot cars was to improve the safety. Safety was their main issue. Then came the flipping. Wanted to clear that up.

  • Add McDowell, Mears, and possibly one more that isn't coming to mind.

  • haha the bud shootout was like this without flips they had a all but 4 car pile up on the 2nd to last lap

  • Mike...what were you thinking?

  • wow there were some big wrecks in that race, thank god everyone was okay

  • What a ride he took. Is it just me, or was that kinda like Matt Kenseth's flip at Talladega last spring in the Nationwide race, rolling over like that?

  • I was there and that was almost a twin to how Kenseth flipped over.

  • Those damn left turns!

  • Comment removed

  • that was NOT a blowover. That was a roll over. A blowover is when air gets under the car and lifts it inot the air, causing the flip. Ex. Ryan Newman at 'Dega, Ryan Newman at Daytona in '03, Sadler at 'Dega in '03 etc.

  • its called a rollover

  • i saw this with my own eyes

  • When I first saw this I thought Rick Allen said Larry Fitzgerald. I was all like "What? The Wide Receiver for the Cardinals? How many bad drivers are in this race?" Then it said Berry and I knew I was wrong. lol. This was a bad accident though.

  • how bout danca 6th place

  • @rockypc24 not bad she did really good for her first race

  • i knowally owens should have won

  • this was one hell of a race, now im ready to watch the shootout in a couple of minutes

  • Looks just like Kenseth's flip last year.

  • Almost identical to Kenseth's accident at Talladega last year.
