  • Very addictive viewing .... just love Eric.

  • Yes, Better the Stones. Love the Animals - but let's all face it Beatles, Long Tall Sally bought the house down! Mick Jagger called them the four headed monster after that performance.

  • these guys rocked, back in the day with dodgy equipment and no sounchecks , get on & do it.ahhhh back in the day.

  • alan price man o man he is good

  • 3:06 Pete Townshend wasn't the 1st guy ever to POWERSLIDE!!!!

  • 02:04 - 02:12 Eric's dance is just priceless...

  • @tenorisimo I always say that about them!! Totally agree. Real artist, true musicians!

  • take that back! no in fact doesnt matter, NME '64 Stones "i'm alright" is better. but this does rock.

  • How is it that Eric Burdon is kinda dorky and frumpy and dorky at first and then when he starts singing he's totally hot?

  • My wife said about this: "The Animals looks more boys` thing. Not for girls. "

  • why does the organ stop around 3:09?

  • I know they have two totally separate styles, but Peter Noone and Eric Burdon are my favorite performers of all-time.

  • I love Alan Price. The best guy around.

  • Blows the stones away.

  • now then, now then

  • look at that shimmy shake people.amazing band ,better than most from the era.i got to meet eric in 94.....what a cool nice guy

  • It looks like the band had fun. Wish I could have been there.

  • @boothl232 i was there i left school that year and me and 3 of my mates had a band

  • @PIP50 Did your band play there? What was the name of your band?

  • increible con los equipos tan primitivos que HABIA y el sonido que sacaban

  • I didn't realize Eric was a geordie! You can hear his accent

  • funny How Eric Muffs the beginning of the tune.. but then.. phew.. What a voice!!

Amazing how these bands could just come on, no sound check, likely no vocal

monitors .. and sound this good.and Burdons' dancing! Wow... then the organ goes out at 3.06.. CRazy , pops!!!

  • Why is the announcer wearing traditional Chinese clothing? Surreal...

  • @TheBatman2194 or was it enchanting.

  • Eric is just soooo HOT!!! He really pulls out all the stops. I'm addicted--I just can't stop watching him.

  • this music is testament to african american influence in music and dance... even though there are so many disrespectful haters out there... but thats ok truth and love will overcome prejudice and bias.

  • Yeah ---The Animals Rock--!!--I'm still trying to figure out how Alan Price played the Vox Continental so fast-and made it look easy---I have one like it A British made Connie----Damm thing has wooden keys--it's kind of Clanky---Now we need a Live version of "The House of The Rising Sun"before it became a hit-------Charlie

  • What's wrong wit Hilton at 2:57?

  • @etowmom-He's getting feedback from his Vox amp by laying the pick-ups of his guitar right up against the speakers. You can hear it screaming in the backround!

  • @smautomat Ooo when does he scream?

  • @etowmom...It's the guitar doing the screaming.

  • So funny Eric waits for his band to set up, and he just stands there cuz all he has to do it sing!

  • Sexiest Eric Ever~Wow~Hot!

  • Does anyone know who that is introducing them?

  • It's Jimmy Saville. As in Jim'll Fix It! As in Jimmy Savilles old time record club..

  • its funny seeing older men with suits in the audience....my how times have changed LOL

  • lol @ 1:23

  • Look at that stage, filled with VOX!

  • Their performance blows the stones away.

  • @tenorismo agreed pluss eric burdon is a much better singer than mick jagger

  • @hatleman2 yes, agree, but Mick lasted the pace, how Keith did is another thing altogether...I reckon he sold his soul to old Lucifer ...lol

  • @tenorismo WHAT??

  • @TheRedpeadar exactly what I sad. The stones are a frat band compared to the animals.

  • @TheRedpeadar cant remember i'd say i had a few beers that night

  • Wasn't if great when this kind of thing wasn't as 'manicured' as it is now? It's kind of raw. Love it and love the Animals.

  • ann2shoes< Totally agree. No ad hoc or deviation allowed anymore, sad really.

  • You'd think that Pricey would get some trousers that fit him!

  • What a great song to kick off their performance. Great energy . . . they are having the time of their lives. Loved the Animals then and I love them now. Wonderful stuff! Thanks for posting.

  • What a voice !

  • Best voice of all 60s bands!

  • the animals were class!!!!

  • i lovee his geordie accent...and his singing! :D

  • I absolutely <3 them

  • twoslices--- Lots of people like to drink. Me too.

  • I love these NME concerts, the groups were all into it, I think it was like the Grammy's. I wish they would put them on dvd.

  • All the bands using the same gear...love it

  • ♥Legends♥ Ain't no doubt-love The Animals!♫

  • good morning he says! what time was this concert at 7AM?

  • 3 AM...Sam

  • alan is super good in the keyboards he is awsome too bad he was about to leave the band. this is a very good performance they all had very great energy!

  • Who says a 1 2 3? I think its Allen Price, but I just want to be sure.

  • It probably is Alan as he stamps his feet at the same time. Also he is the one nearest a mic.

  • Thanks

  • Oh that's okay! Also Alan starts the number off with his keyboards

  • He is amazing at the keyboards.

  • He is brilliant isn't he. I don't think I have ever heard anyone play keyboards as good!

  • Alan-the man is a genius. Eric-what a VOICE! ♫

  • I agree totally!!

  • I played with him a few times, great but he liked to drink

  • Really, wow you are so lucky!

  • Hope their pants don't rip.

  • I'll take those tight pants over today's baggy one's any day.

  • This is so good & so classic.

  • animals, stones, kinks....the Beatles devoured the lot of em.....Shut up! Game over dudes!!

  • "Eskimos & GEORDIES" sang Bryan Ferry in do the strand' Like the MC said..the Geordie band!

  • Wow what a cracker show!! Thanks so much for uploading - so many tight groups at one gig. Brilliant!!

  • Eric is proper unique but I do so want to pleasure Alan Price

  • Great show!

  • yeah man the animals rock!

alan price is so fucking good on the keyboards good blues good voice yeah this rock more than the beatles

  • I saw them in 1966, they were fantastic!! I saw Eric Burdon and The New Animals in 2008. The man is still fantastic -- it was a great concert!!

  • check out Eric's last 2 studio Cd's -Soul of a Man--My Secret Life----He still has it-!!!!--No one can touch Alan's playing on the Vox Continental----Charlie

  • "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood" was one of the greatest songs of the sixties. Burdon was fantastic and could sing the blues better than Mick Jagger, but Jagger is the one who made it huge. There was a point where the Animals briefly overcame the Stones in popularity, but not for long. The Animals broke up and Burdon went on with War and on his own, but today very few people know Eric Burdon whereas most know who Jagger is.

  • Oh my God Eric....shake it baby!!!!!!

  • kings of the north east, and lindisfarne too

  • If it wasn't for rock and roll, Obama would not be in the Whitehouse.

The Beatles sang Chuck Berry songs.

  • This is not nigger music, it's just GOOD MUSIC. And yes Obama wouldn't be in the whitehouse if Eric Burdon had not sung BLACK (not nigger) music!!!! Burdon has a song called "White Houses"

  • the beatles win

  • Hot damn....the Animals just tore that song all the way up!!!!!!!

  • Love it! i was so.. in the wrong decade.(24 scottish girl) this gives me Joy oh joy

  • Eric Burdon has one of the best vocals! :) thanks for sharing this !! :)
