I prefer this as tea sometimes i chew 3 fresh leaves while driving funny huh! But its true. If i saw this anywhere here in the street i just stop and picking some leaf chew it directly. I have psoriasis and im taking these neem and it works but i get little bit reaction like itching after im taking this. Bcoz thats how it works! It kills all bacteria and boosting my immune systm. i'm indian dental surgeon... i chew that neem stick everyday... my teeth r strong n healthy now... i wish i read more hindu books n indian ayurveda before... i wud have saved my 1 st mandibular molar from tooth decay... the modern fluroidal toothpastes just make teeth brittle n easy to fracture... now i have been able to arrest decay in other tooth... all thnx to neem n indian ayurvedic knowledge.

I saw one of these trees here in Florida at a place called "Echo" that helps the poor. I was amazed at what I heard about its properties. The toothpaste I have of it works wonders, and now I am growing neem from seed. Too long our treatments has been pesticides from WWII we need to look at things that do not benefit large companies. Neem leaves are used in one of our festivals called Gudhi Padawa in India. On this day, we eat a kind a salad made using Neem leaves and ( I think) Chana or Toor daal. This is considered good for the body. Of course, now I understand, it is because of its medicinal property.

Neem tree grew back after some soil change, I opted for sand/grit and soil mix, added some broken egg shells, seaweed (some other NATURAL fertilisers I just cannot remember).

It is still tiny, but the leaves grew back thicker and greener. Now I am going to have to try something else for the FULL winter process. In a pot still, so I will bring it inside maybe :0?

You can order one on line and they live in dry dessert areas in higher temps, they can not freeze and they grow with out allot of water. type Neen tree into a search and you should be able to find many web pages with information on them.

I bought a small neem tree of Ebay from Malaysia, and it appears to be dying...now. How do I care for it, because it is the only thing that isnt growing and turning brown.

I admit, I have planted it is a pot and not the soil direct, I have tried blood and fish fertilizer and also seaweed stuff, but it appears to make it worst!

How can I look after this tree, and by the way I am in England! Is it possible for this tree to be cared for in England?

There is not enough sunshine in England for Neem. The only Neem trees growing in England that I know of are in the Eden project in Cornwall and they do not appear as healthy as trees in the tropics.

The neem tree was the only tree that was successfully planted in the desert cities of Saudia Arabia for green effect and the trees are now growing at a fantastic rate. This tree can grow anywhere. It is a great antiseptic for bacterial skin conditions too.

I have just bought some Neem trees and would like to plant one in my yard but need to know if it could damage my house or walls with its root. Would it be a good idea to keep it at 10ft by pruning?...on the other hand, I'm not sure the Mexico City climate would be proper for it but I want to try. Please HELP!

neem tres do have long and strong roots but im not sure if they could damage a house particularly if it's got a good foundation. anyhow to be sure i think you need to plant it at least 4-5 metres from your house. it's a great plant indeed with all it's medicinal value....

I've seen many Neem trees (I got some) near walls, and trhough several years watching them growing from sprouts to blossoms (they put tiny flowers) here in Bahia, Brazil, there's not even a scratch on the paint. By the way, the soil is most sand, and the climate here is getting unbearable hot.

I had a gigantic neem tree in my backyard, back in Pakistan.. looked amazing.

whenever somebody in our house (close family) needed to treat skin problems (i.e. acne), the neem was one of the first things that came to mind.

i think its excellent for treating skin related problems, acne especially. try mincing some leaves, mixing in water/milk and drinking, or make neem tea.. but I must warn you, it is extremely bitter! i couldn't even take 5 small sips.

I use neem to wash my hair with amla and shikakai, and it is a good wash if your hair has been dirtied (like when i worked at a pet shop) saved me from transmitting any illnesses i had at work to my pets at home :)
