  • Thanks to those who liked this - nice to know we're all in good company!

  • Wow. Nicely done.

  • Nice hearing the organ at the end...just like old days. What a great song. Thanks !

  • thanks from Jimmy McNichols in Trinidad.

Long time no hear - was trying to remember on my keyboard - but their fingers !!!

  • My friend Jim, remembers trying to play this in the 1960s.

He was a bass man with Skylighters in the Penthouse, Independence Square Port of Spain Trinidad.

    Any one know Jim?

  • a kedvencem 40 éve

  • A veritable goldmine!

You'll never cease to be amazed at what you'll find, although a little depleted now...(see below in my comments). Early Billy J Kramer, Freddy & the Dreamers, Stones, Who, a lot of Procol Harum - real historical/archival stuff. Also a lot of "unofficial" clips of those bands among others.

Since Google is now the major shareholder, if not owner of YT, they've cut a lot of stuff out of it for copyright infringement.

I've got something like 500 vids from there

  • is that realy ronnie charles ..was he in the band the group..im getting so old..

  • Yep.... given that their full name is Ronnie Charles and the retro bandits.

And yes...which I think from memory was spelt "Groop". Also did some backing vocals in V. late sixties for 1 hit wonder band, Pastoral Symphony. The song was Love Machine!

  • Thank u 4 imformation i was such a big fan of the groop..ive just found you tube im hooked ..i found so much old stuff yesterday ..

  • Thanks, I recognised Chris Copping on other old PH-tubes. But what is "Magnetic Island"? Do you mean he died? (I'm no native speaker of english).

  • Phwaaaaaahhhhh!!! That's seriously funny. Not sure I make the quantum leap required to match death & Magnetic Island. No, Magnetic Island is an island & tourist resort off the Queensland coast (Australia).

BTW, if you're not a native speaker of English, you do pretty well!!!!

  • zoutezee, are you Dutch or south african? Sounds like one. Ik ben half nederlander. Je engels is goed hoor. Doei.

  • ik ben dutch. Klink ik zuid-afrikaans? Nice!

  • i agree, nice (who is this Chris?), not bad at all..

  • Chris Copping was organist (among other things) with Procol Harum after Matthew Fisher left the band @1970. Chris left the band in the late 70's, immigrating to Australia, playing with bands and running variety of indusstry-related businesses.

Plenty of histories of the band on the net.

  • Nice.

  • Although a bit older, what gives Chris away is the same intensity as he had in his youth. Compare videos.

  • is this really Chris Copping???? Oh man.... the time it so running sooo fast...

    Cool version of Homburg.

  • Great song!
