But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. (Isaiah 64:6 KJV).
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV).
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; (Titus 3:5 KJV).
We are strange , God answered my praire to get off drugs by getting me busted, ha , he is still working on my smoking habbit. But he will take these thing away when I am ready, because he loves me enough to let me do has I am able. Thank you for your vidios, I find them inspiring, they have helped alot In my relationship with him. Please forgive my spelling , I didn't like school and had to teach myself to read and rite.
We forgive you. Spelling and school are not the important thing in this life. God is and you have found him and I am so happy for you! May God forever bless you and be with you forever! congratulations on stopping your drug usage :)
Problem is some people have not arived at that place where they can say in their heart of hearts, I messed up, or I am wrong, or I need help, or guidance, a lot of people are still in that mind of 2 extremes, either trying to perfect themselves with self rightiousness, or just live a life of pure indulgence, they will however reap what they sow and come to realise they need God at some point, if they have an ounce of humility, its a shame that most people it takes a disaster to wake them up.
drinking, etc doesn't equal human. i didn't understand your point. you didn't actualy say anything or answer the question in the description box. why?
Dude... more religious people do drugs than non-religious... I'm not just talkig about Christianity here and not just about the well known drugs. Hm, come to think of it, from what the Bible says, even Christ did drugs... that put him in a deathlike hypothermia for 3 days, only for him to arise again... with memory loss.
Well instead of drinking, I guess it would be better to go ahead and wage war on the non-believers and other religions... and kill, destroy, and steal! EXTREME!!!
I'm not talking about direct Bible passages that say that he did drugs. It's a deduction made from the words written in there. Bittersweet liquid at the time of crucifixion?
In terms of the other things, it's history talking. The dark ages, the crusades, the "jihads" (not just Christianity, but combined religions once again).
I'm pretty sure the liquid was vinegar man. If you looked at what the Bible talks about, you'll find to live at peace with all men as much as possible, not to exchange evil with evil etc.
What does history say about stalin, mao, and pol pot. What about the tamil tigers who do suicide bombings? I don't think that vlad drakul or pablo escobar was very religious either.
I have had a number of people in my life shut me out of their lives because I do not follow the Bible. That is, I do not profess Christianity. Because I'm different from them, they shut me out. Is this Christianity?? Please explain the whole "if you do not believe as we do, then you're a worthless piece of crap/stupid/retarded/etc." Was this Jesus' message?? Or did he tell us to love EVERYONE? Personally, my bent is to love everyone...so I'm probably not a true Christian.
That's the selfish human way. Don't forget, Christians are human, too. They can be just a stupid as anyone else.
The love of Christ involves telling people the truth of the Gospel.
What someone chooses to do with that info is up to them. It doesn't mean an unsaved person is a lesser person. It just means that they're missing out on eternal life.
We should love them either way, just like God.
He'll love us all the way to hell if we so choose.
So Christianity isn't ABOUT behaviour modification, but after the gift has been received, behaviour modification is incurred? I appreciate your heart, but I think the word "stupid" is being used a little out of context. Perhaps you were finding another way to refer to "sin"?
Daniel, I thought you were giving my testimony for part of that. I used to wonder if I gave my life to God what would become of me. Would I be like the hole in a doughnut? - lol - after struggling with sin as new Christian for a while - I discovered that God truly doesn't ask you to give up anything that is truly worth keeping. "Yes doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: "Phi 3:8
ps. would T.R.U.T.H be the same group that made really Awesome BMX, skateboarding Videos in the 90's ? I think I still own one ... they were great. Really cool.
Well said brother. When they learn that it's about God reaching out to us, they still scoff because that still means, one way or another, giving up the sinful things. It's rebellion either way you look at it. People just don't want to change, whether it's God's Holy Works changing them or thier own efforsts. To them it's all the same. Repenting (changing one's mind about sin) is still out of the question for so many people.
Nice video, and I think it should also be said that the examples you gave of having fun and having to change behavior arent just "big" things like drugs, alcohol and prostitution, but simply the ability to lie, cheat, steal, put down, hurt and more that is done in daily living.
Nice insight. I was the same way until I was regenerated by the Spirit of Truth 15 years ago. John 14:17 "the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you."
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: (John 1:12).
Does that say that these folks became children of God by modifying their behavior?

This is an excellent video debunking the worldly ideology of behavior modification.

I'm just pointing out how a person argues both sides of the same argument.
They don't want to change their behavior, but they also don't want it to be given freely.
Well, the truth is...
it's free.
If you're a sinner, then you qualify for salvation.
If you're already perfect, then salvation is not for you. You don't need to be saved.

Wow...
You really don't have a hint of a clue about what's actually written in the Bible, do you?
I suggest you do some studying for yourself.
It sounds like you've been tainted by a LOT of really stupid teachings.

It is very sad that people who use think they are having fun. They start using because it feels good till thay have to to stay well.
Now: You do drugs cuz it's fun, and to fit in.
Later: It's no longer fun cuz your doing drugs to stay well.
At that point, you're no longer doing drugs, they're doing you.
