  • I suspect the tub is very loud and echoey, as well as cold, scarey for a cat. I use the kitchen sink. It is easier than kneeling and bending over the tub, the cat is easier to handle as it is at waist height and you are standing up. Also use as little shampoo (designed for cats) as possible, and use the sprayer rather than a thin stream of water. If you use the sink its also easier for someone else to hold the cat. My cat doesn't particularly like it but puts up with it, as it gets done quickly

  • thats mean how could you do that to a cat you make me mad x(

  • A friend of mine uses a little dish soap on the back of the cat's neck to get rid of the fleas, although I haven't really ask them if that has been working, or not. My first impression of this video was, of course, "animal cruelty!!! OMFG"......but, I do realized that these things must be done at some point, for the health and well-being of the cat. As another comment stated, it is heart-rending to hear their cries :)

  • There are times where a cat bath is necessary! Some cats like the Turkish Van Cats love water so much that they often go for a swim. Most cats are not thrilled to be bathed. It looks pitiful but there are times when bathing is required & the cries can be heart rending. Fleas, foul smell mean a bath is simply what has to be done. I fill the tub to the neck line and gently put the cat in - lather and dry. Hairless cats - need bathing often they have no way to get rid of grease build up!

  • maybe the cat had fleas and had to have a bath every think of that? my 4 month old kitten had 3 baths in an hour because of fleas but she likes water

  • @BlaCkTyPE1

hahahaha It does sound like that!

  • I wish my cat was that calm. I'm afraid to put her in the tub and she doesn't even have claws. LOL She's Crazy! :O and I'm scared.

  • yes, they hate water - but a cat needs a bath every now and then. of course they hate it so sometimes the owners have to be slightly firm in their way of handling them. let's see how long you can coo and make baby noises at the cat before you get fed up. my cat makes the same noises otw to the vet and during a bath - and after the bath jumps right back to cuddle me. maybe some of you need to own a cat first before making these dumbass comments.

  • Yes I can tell you too, this is my mothers cat. She DOES Not EVER hurt them. They are just old and Alley doesn't like baths. She is probably more pampered than you kelsaur0tawr. Lol

  • Who the hell would want to vote for animal cruelty? Clearly this cat doesn't like the water, and you force her into it with your hands around her neck, right.

  • @Kelsaur0rawr Thank you for your concern about my cat. If you knew me you would know that I've had her for 9 years, She does not take baths regularly however after consulting our vet, we gave her a bath because she needed to have one. She makes the same sounds when we put her in a cat carrier to take her to the vet. She was in no way harmed. Although you seem to think she was being handled incorrectly I assure you she was not hurt in any way. We love her very much and would never hurt her.

  • @zoomonkeyz My cat is absolutely terrified by baths, but sometimes they need one. Wanted to give you a little tip - maybe try to gather handwarm water in a basin with some liquid babyshampoo and use your hands to bring the water on her body (the babyshampoo won't need much rinsing, if she licks it off there will be no harm) as opposed to using running water. Alternatively u can try make some foam in another basin for her to play with innitially, maybe she remains fascinated throughout ;)

  • @Kelsaur0rawr so if you had a cat that didn't like water then would you not wash the cat? keeping a cat dirty is also a form of cruelty. This is not animal cruelty. You are very dumb.

  • @dipzzzzz well, generally cats are clean, so I would not go as far as saying "leaving your cat dirty" but I agree with you - domesticated cats that are allowed in bed and on couch etc. should be bathed sometimes.

  • @Kelsaur0rawr You have clearly never tried to bathe a cat. There isn't a whole lot you can do, except, firmly hold the cat in the tub.

  • Lmao.. Poor baby
