@lightwave18 He done the this in 3DS max. You can get it for free if you sign up as a student. If you search youtube there are some good tutorials. Just search for example 3DS max hand tutorial and it shows you how to model a hand.

Nice job, dude! 3DMAX is rather complicated for beginners. I haven't tried it myself, but a friend used it for years and you could really get lost in menus and options. It is a powerful tool. How's the anim. class working out for you? Bet there is tons of theory one gotta learn..

Hi, I'm an animator. This is pretty good for a first animation. You have a ways to go before you are ready to work on any production. Don't worry about lighting or stories too much at this point. Focus on making your poses stronger, and getting better timing. Acting is critical. Get some dialogue and do some simple acting tests. Act out the dialogue in front of a mirror, and then try to apply that to your character. Good luck.
