ive seen actual MRI images on this.they tested the various exercises.no real difference was found in the exercises as far as muscles worked harder.i feel my upper chest working when id bottom position bench, ifeel the lower when i do incline.you cant isolate a certain section of a muscle due to residual carryover.
Incline bench will work more your upper chest and centre where flat bench works the middle part of your chest. If you can be bothered, a decline bench works lower chest but you don't need to worry too much about that as a flat bench brings it up anyway.
@checka1989 actually going all the way down puts more stress on your shoulder than your chest. yes it does stretch your chest more but at weights of 180+ thats just havoc for your rotator cuff. besides everyone who touches their chest usually have big pecs and if you look closely their elbows are at 90 degrees. that shouldn't change for someone who has a small chest. 90 degrees or 1-2 inches above chest is usually what i go for
How about hand placement? I've experimented closer and further out grips, but does it really make a difference how wide or narrow the grip is to put the focus on chest, rather than shoulders, tri's etc.?
Hey Scott. Im big fan of you. i have a question. when you work out do you actually feel your muscle? i mean like do you have sore on the muscle that your are working out ? because i can't feel my muscle but i'm keep doing it .Am i doing wrong? do i have to feel the muscle? thanks for videos.

smith machines aren't nearly as good as regular barbell exercises. I would recommend learning how to properly perform these smith machine exercises on a regular bench with good form
@Skylight00000 ya totally not even lose to 90 degree angle and why is his elbows so close to his body? this is more of an tricep excercise then a upper prectorial excercise, Ultimately, WHY DOES HE HAVE HIS SHIRT OFF ALL THE TIME? WTF

using smith machine doesn't make you a pussy. i agree it isn't as good as free weights but using the smith machine is good to switch things up a bit.
theused0321 4 months ago
i don't like the smith machine.. really awkward to use since the bar is in a fixed position but thats just an opinion.

you have to go all the way down u faggot it streches the chest more and u have to lay the bar down on top of the chest FAG!!!
checka1989 11 months ago
@checka1989 lemme guess, you probably learned that from a weight training class in your school?

Hey, for this incline workout, do I need to align the bar with my niples? (Just like the one for the flat bench) Thank you! :)

do you think its better to do incline bend presses on a smith machine or in normal incline bench press.
TheMasterGr 1 year ago
The normal free weights are going to be better than the smith machine. This is basically a rule of thumb on any exercise..
