  • beautiful man. Keep up the good work. Some people have nothing but negative things to say but i think you are doing an awesome job.

  • It's beautiful!! Subscribed!!

  • Wow! What beautiful chords/progressions! Thank you, brother!

  • its hard for me :( but i like so much this video..Glory to Our God :)

  • Hi. I enjoyed your talent. I am self taught and am only now trying to teach myself accompaniment. I have tried to learn from teachers but they just don't want to show me their thought process as to what they are really doing and thinking. I would appreciate if you could do a song and simply "think out loud" about your fingering.

Ex: LH will do a C Maj simple chord as 1, 5, 8 and RH will do a a CM7 broken chord now RH shifts to F dim ...whatever.. basically if you could call out your changes.

  • heey learnmusicministry , lol i love the way you're handling these haters, awesome playing by the way!

  • this is beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Man, I can imagine how this would sound on an Electric Piano Sound

  • You are an amazing musician! I have been playing for 9 years but have only taken two years of lessons. I am at a point where I am inspired to play as well as you but I can't afford lessons. If you could do a tutorial on Amazing Grace on the moderate to difficult level I would love it! Or if you could tell me where I can find one. :)

    God Bless!

  • Hey learnmusicministry

How can you call this a lesson,

    where's the chord progression ?

if you want to be a teacher, post the sheet music JACK.

    charliebluesman!

  • Ok i just dont unerstand you haters...Yall probably can't play a lick..ugh If you have nothing positive to say dont say anythin at all. and most of you trying to criticize him dont have 1 vid of you playing. now thats pretty sad. dnt throw a rock and hide your hand ppl! god bless you learnmusicministry! ube helped me

  • thanks for sharing your gift brother...I am going to purchase your videos. I think they are well worth the investment. Be blessed!

  • I'm not judging, just offering my opinion. I'm sure somebody can use this to get better.

  • Actually you misunderstand music, sir.

  • This man Knows how to use a piano. Don't be a pedant, please.

  • to all the ignorant ppl this man is teaching foundation this is what you start from

  • and what your hearing is probably variations. maybe you need to keep studying

  • Lol. You don't know me. But hey I'm glad you're perfect. Maybe you should come and work for me and make this money. People like you inspire me. Keep hating and I'll keep loving.

  • @learnmusicministry I dont think he was hating i agree with what he's saying don't take it personal and he didnt say he was perfect eitther...have a great day

  • @learnmusicministry Don't worry man your a great teacher with a good heart!

  • @ghostrider6610 Thank you. I appreciate that!

  • Brothers, have Mercy on your poor judgemental souls. I think you have no room to throw a stone, not in your glass house. Shame. I'm praying 4 U all.

    YiC,

    kj

  • Lol. I respect your opinion but you are WRONG!!! You watch my videos and you will see that I am the best at breaking things down so anyone can understand it. Everyone has gifts and everything cost money. I guess Jesus was wrong for being a carpenter and charging for his skill to make chairs. And I quess he was also wrong for accepting money from those he ministered to. Judas was his treasurer so that proves he took offerings. Servents are worthy of their hire fee. Read the bible!

  • You are confusing these piano lessons with preachers selling their videos of their sernons.

I look fowarderd to buying one of these lessons because he breaks it down slowley and understandable, and I have learned how to use melodies by watching these lessons.

furthermore piano lessons can cost hundreds of dollars for several short beginner lessons, so 20 dollars is a bargin.

  • don't be FOOLish. Maybe you should go to your job and not get paid. This is the man's job, playing/teaching music.

    A Brother in CHRIST,

    kj

  • @charliebluesman: i love seeing people like you who show me how not to be. I don't have to do a thing cause the more you talk the more you prove you are unlearned to be nice about it. About me: I train people how to play by ear. That's why you will never see sheet music on my site. If I'm so bad find someone who caters to your need and stop waisting our time and yours dude. I pray that the Lord richly blesses you. Maybe then you won't be so bitter. God bless you dude.

  • @charliebluesman man u need to pray brotha dis is for gods pupose only! learn to serve him at all times and put self out of the way it seems like dis is like a contest to u real talk.man music is gods ministry dats what wrong with a lot of us we arejust like crabs when one tries to move another crab is pulling us back listen to me man be humble and god will supply

  • @charliebluesman : Uncalled for!

  • i dont like that version it would be hard to sing allong to and hard to play hahah but its amazing to watch still

  • I promise if you hear it in real time you might not like the version but you will be the right atmosphere I create with these type of chords. But this song can be played ump-teen billion ways.

  • Very nice voicings indeed.

  • Nice job.

  • WOW. Very nice voicings my friend. I would of never thought of those particular changes. Hopefully I can incorporate all of that into my playing. Keep up the great work and keep the vids coming!!

  • WOW, GEEWIZ, OHH

    buy my lessons

  • 1:38 - 1:39

    higher level?

  • What do you mean?

  • "here we go amazing grace on a little bit higher level..." If you're going to play on a higher level then PLAY like you are. sorry but if you gonna make a mistake like you do at 1:38 - 1:39 atleast redo the clip or say sumthin! you can cover and disguise mistakes on the piano all the time but sorry, as a pianist thats just very noticeable and its not being honest to your talent and your statement at the beginning of this tutorial.

just keepin it real. dnt take it to heart =)

  • This video is for people that don't know anything about the piano. My goal isn't to wow anyone with awesome musicianship. My goal was to play the song different than the basic style that I was teaching the beginners in this lesson.

But you are correct. I did fumble at that moment. Oh well. If you focus more on the one second from 1:38-1:39 then you really miss the blessing of the other 3:01 minutes. I'll do better next time. God bless you. P.s. Hope you never fumble. Someone might see

  • lol yea i fumble ALL the TIME haha.

and like i said, dont take it to heart!

God bless you for what you're doing. Sorry if you are offended, that wasnt the point. yea i focus on that one second, but its that one second thats gonna make you improve. none of us are perfect, only god is but he wants us to strive to be perfect. I play mistakes ALL the time, but i only learn when caring honest musicians tell me, and i try to improve. take it how you want. P.s hope i always fumble, jeeps me humble

  • hey dude, you are most welcome to delete my comments, im sorry if its come across the wrong way. i know you are only trying to help others, which is more than what ive been doing. thanks for your example, and god bless you. i'm repenting brotha!! sorry about my 1st haters comment lol it was never meant to be like that! thanks for all your inspiration and help you put on the web.

    sorry for the earlier comment.

    God bless u.

  • All is well man, this is still America. You can speak your mind. On thing I realized is when I said another level you had a certain expectation. I need to choose my words more careful to not lead you on. It's almost like I'm talking about playing like a Michael Bereal or something when I said I'll play on a little bit higher level. I'll keep my choice of words in consideration next time. Thanks man. I pray we all truly go to a higher level in this craft.

  • Not gonna lie i think that part that you guys were talkin about actually sounded kinda cool. Haha

  • LOL.. hahaha

  • Hey you are welcome to your opinion just like you are welcome to not watch. Why don't you start teaching then we all can come learn from a real teacher. Lol. And profanity is a very ignorate way to communicate especially when I have children viewing my page. Like I said be mad that's cool. Just don't come back to my page and we both will be happy. God bless you charliebluesman.

  • @learnmusicministry u r definitly right! i dont know why musicians act like that. using profaned language. he forgot this is for gods pupose only our gift does not belong to us music is so wonderful we r all learning from each other. regardless of level. to be a educated musician is a plus. u keep on teaching and serving god. be blessed

  • I'm not in this for your respect or to impress. I'm simply teaching foundation, and give people insite that I didn't have when I was at the elementary stages of my learning. I could care less. If you don't get it, then obviously this is not for you. One negative comment doesn't trump the hundreds of call and comments proving that I'm helping the Kingdom in ways you can't imagine. So I know God respects what I'm doing. I couldnt give a care what man thinks. Casper!

  • its a very good rendition of the song - we dont use that song over here though in the UK. good way of teaching too. but a thing to point out is that the internet no longer counts as USA so some things aren't viable and somethings can be offensive to others around the world etc.

  • Hey thanks. And I totally understand your point. But it's really unavoidable. People always find a way to be offended even when you don't mean to offend them. So I just go with the flow.

  • ahh true. you have a unique skill on your teachings however and more people should be able to teach like you. ive been playing piano for 15 years (click my link and watch a vid of me playing a Muse song, but if i was new to piano, i would be using your vids for sure. :)

  • That's great to know. Thanks. I'm clicking your link now. God Bless. (my way of wishing you the best life has to offer)

  • there are many ways to play paino, chord progressions is just one way. and pretty much the most boring one.

  • This is really cool ^^ as a pianist myself i can admire this =D

    keep it up, shackle

  • Could u do a lesson on this? Witha llthe chords u use? Especially those when u were singing!!

  • Certainly, let me call in a singer to make the lesson the best it can be. I'll email you when it's complete.

  • how did you do that cool chord change at 1:52?? what kind of chords was that

  • That was a 6 slide in a lower inversion to a whole tone scale. The 6 slide is:

    A/GCE

    Db/GbBEb

    C/FBbD

The whole tone scale is more difficult to explain. Basically I used 2 notes and made a chord moving along the whole tone scale.
