I still maintain that Rafi's voice (with all due regards for his earlier gems) naturally did fail or fade or lost its vim and vigor by late 70s simply because of age. I quote for eg. the song 'Dard-e dil dard-e jigar' from Karz. The voice is not so appealing compared to 'Kya Huwa Tera wada' of Hum Kisise Kum Nahin.
Listen to all the songs of this movie. R.D.Burman is said to have favored to Kishore Kumar. Where is Kishore in this movie and many others in his early years? Even in his later films , he has given songs apt for Rafi till his (Rafi's) death. He has used rafi's voice as long as it sounded good.
it was always unmatchable ,and to this day no one's come even close although so many have tried to be Rafi, there was only one Rafi!!
kishore was a gud friend of Rafi saab and even he said he was no match for The one and only Rafi saab!! The reason kishore n others came up in the 70s is because Rafi sab stopped singing for a while but wen he came back all music directors were queing outside his door wen they heard his hit come bak song'kya hua tera wada
your phrase 'as long as it sounded good' qualifies as the most stupid and outrageous statement uttered this millenium. i lthink your psychiatric medicine have stopped working or your going deaf or you stole your music player from a museum or you've been listening to jokers who try to perform rafi's song.
They look like cousins or of somewhat similar kindred. When they tease or kid each other it is so pleasing and agreeable. I like these type of interactions between thee two icons rather than the serious type of Gulzar movies.
Thank you for the video. it was a pleasure seeing the clip. I missed this movie and hope to catch up with it sometime. It was wonderfull seeing the gorgeous Hema with the jumping jack, they make a good couple next to Dharam of course.
Beautiful song! I recommend to
check out" Hai re hai neend nahin aaye"
from film Humjoli. Another lovely song
picturised on Jeethendra and cute

Hema Malini was Super pretty at this time .. I love her eyes and smile..
But honestly I never thought she was a good performer... she had a constipated dialogue delivery.

Had these two people married Ekta Kapoor and her soporific, idiotic and marathon serials would not have happened. She is a great torture.

They enhanced/accentuated each others appaearance, aura, personality etc through their chemistry which was explosive on the screen.

Beautiful lyrics in the song. Exceptionally beautiful Hema and charming Jeetendra. Golden era. Rafi saheb, Lataji, Late RD Burman etc
