  • You are so sweet! I feel sooooooo encouraged! I just started nursing school 2 days ago and am looking for tips on how to take nursing tests for next week when I saw this. Thank you so much for being so positive and making me understand from the get-go just to do the best I can. Thank you for your video and being a positive influence in struggling nurses lives! :0)

  • @coolestmomintheworld You are VERY welcome, every needs help sometime. Thank you for taking the time to watch my little video : )

  • You give good advice. I must commend you on the knowledge you have imparted on us. I feel 100% better about nursing school after viewing your videos. There's is hope after all.

  • @lovingpia27 Nursing is a great field, we can't wait to have you : )

  • im really worried about math because it is not my best subject by all means, but i really want to be a nurse so do you have any tips about the math courses and how did you get through it?

  • @1awkwardgirl I have many math tutorials online, check them out... see how you do. That's the usual stuff, the formats don't change... just the numbers. Don't stress, you learn that stuff once you're in, the hard part is getting in. Good luck!

  • this helped me more than you will ever know!

    thank you so much

  • @theRoseofmyheart Well thank you for working hard even when it seems like you're NOT getting what you deserve... I know it's tough.

  • Very good advice! Good Job!

  • @leolookingup Thank you for watching, giving up gets you nowhere : )

  • oh, thanks for the advice. On my first day of class in A&P I got a 54. And I went home crying and not eating that evening at all. But you know, now I do realize and your advice has helped me to continue with this. I am not going to give up! Thanks alot! Keep me posted!!

  • @paularsalas That's great to hear, I failed MANY MANY tests in my time. We all go through it, this will just be a small bump in the road on your journey to being a nurse. I wish you the best of luck and don't give up... we are all cheering for you.

  • Thank you for this video!

  • @SuperAnurse Thanks and a double thank you for watching!

  • I'm in the Dental Hygiene program. I still like to watch your videos because they are encouraging to watch if you're in school period. I agree with you 100% on people being in cliques and competitiveness we have that in our program too.

  • @05Godschild You too, glad I wasn't alone in on that one : )

  • you just made me feel soo much relieve Nacole!. I'd took my first Pharmacology exam1, and the grade was soo bad. I studied really hard, but turn out I got a crappy grade. Though after watching your video, I know that I need to set it aside and keep moving because this is a battle between me and myself. So yeh! Thank for all of your motivation!

  • @chocofrance You're very welcome, I've failed enough tests to know... you can come back!

  • @BeautifulDreamerK You can do it, when you pass... you will look back and laugh at those stressful time. I'm glad to be back as well : )

  • Your videos always help me to keep striving!! Im in my first semester of clinical and I'm FAILING pharmacology, it seems like no matter how much I study, once I take the test I just draw a blank. My program is tough..You HAVE TO PASS everything with a 80% and the test are only 30 questions!!!! do you have any tips that worked for you with pharmacology??!!?!?

  • @brainsnbeauty006 I had index cards with drugs by drug class. That seemed to help me learn them and their actions and needed nursing interventions.

  • Nacole I'm not doing so hot on foundations.. do you have any book that will help me??

  • @Sakura71390 I loved those Nursing Notebooks & any Nursing Foundations book... what areas are you having trouble with?

  • @NurseNacole Many of my classmates and myself are having trouble with the professor's questions. I study and study , but then some of her questions in the test are wow.. I'm having a hard time " THINKING' like her

  • @Sakura71390 What's lame about that is there isn't any advice I can give or secrets. You really gotta talk to your professor. That is what I had to do in my last semester of school. As much as I HATED my professor, I had to sit down with her and have her explain her thought process to me haha!

  • @NurseNacole You're right , I've decided to be at her office hours as many times as I can!

  • I love this video... thank you! I needed to hear this :D

  • @JillBlackmore You're welcome, thanks for watching!

  • I really needed this video, I'm in my last year of nursing and we're doing pediatrics, and I used to get A's and B's in past semesters, but I got a 66 on my first exam (minimum passing is 75) and I was just dumb-founded. And to make things worse, I got a clinical warning the next day because I overlooked something, meaning if I get another I fail both clinical, and the class automatically. I get to review the exam next week though, this is what I need to get back on track. Thanks again :)

  • @KaozTh3ories Glad I could help and I wish you the best of luck!

  • i sooo needed to hear this...im taking my prereqs right now and anatomy is my only class. I was thinking it shouldn't be too bad seeing as it's my ONLY class and im not currently working. Had my first exam tue, got my results back and scored a 67% i was like wth?!! i had studied for 3-4hrs./day a WHOLE week before the test, They were some q's i had a hard time with but jeez! I will be seeing my prof. during office hrs. like you suggested...but i wanted to know how did you study for anatomy?

  • @bree2496 That class was all about memorization. I just had it a know to look again and again at the body charts and it started to stick.

  • I just notice that you were back... I am surely happy! I take my anatomy skeletal test Wednesday and even though I have taken anatomy before and received a A in it but that doesn't take away from the nervousness. To bad it was seven years ago, I can't wait to get this first test over so I can see how this professor test. I am glad you are doing well, love your vlogs!!!

  • @Camwill78 I wish you the best of luck, you're going to do just fine. Thanks you for watching : )

  • Yeah I feel like I just screwed up a test that I should have aced and what was worst is I thought I did great but I'm trying to get over it because I don't have time to mourn lol other things are due that need my attention and pharmacology always deserves my attention. Nacole so where do you work now in the hospital how are you being treated as a newbie

  • @fallonalexis7 I work on a PCU floor and being new is stressful but everyone is really sweet and teaching me tons!

  • Thanks for this video. Its JUST what i needed to hear. A week ago i had the worst exam of my LIFE (so far.. ha ha). Im in third semester and ive been pretty crestfallen about it, but youre so right. gotta move on! ive got 9 months to go! thank you for the motivation!! youre amazing!

  • @TheCsaz Thanks, you're going to be just fine. You have the determination! Don't let an exam determine your path for the entire semester. You got this!

  • This was SO helpful and you are so adorable :D

  • @theRoseofmyheart Thanks!

  • I am so glad I found your video! I just failed my first nursing test on Monday. It feels good to know I'm not the only one going through it. Thank you so much!!!!!

  • @BrAnDiFuTuReRN Oh, you're not alone, I bombed many nursing exams. Just hang in there : )

  • Sometimes dropping everything you normally do is not the best thing to do to prepare for a test unless you are already doing really bad.

  • Great video.....this just happened to me today....I needed this...Thanks!! :0)

  • @gogetter1807 No problem, thanks for watching.

  • Love this video I made a c on my first pharm test my comfort zone is a B on tests I studied soo hard read every chapter I could have done better but at least I passed everyone else got high Bs or As I felt out of place but passing is passing like u said ..

  • @chettabred06 Congrats, don't worry about everyone else. I was never an A student... usually not a B student either, haha!

  • HAHAHA- wait... you cant enter negative 9 million into a pump!?!?! Color me shocked! LOL- made me literally LOL with that one.

  • @sclyons34 It happened to me so many times, I ended up making up an answer and just moving on haha

  • Thank you so much for this. I failed my hesi exit exam and could not graduate.I must repeat the last semester of school next spring 2012 and it feels like the worst nightmare. All of my friends have taken their Nclex exam and I have a big STOP sign in my face. I'm so disappointed and it really was good to hear this video. Thanks for the inspiration.

  • @MsHoneyalmond No problem, you are going to be a nurse... don't let this small bump in the road mess with you. Ignore everyone else's achievements and just focus on you. You will get there, the timeline doesn't matter.

  • Ok so does this apply to people who fail a class? :(

  • @fya4you Especially!

  • i know i asked u this awhile back but i completely forgot ur response...im hopefully going to be applying to nursing school within the nxt year and was wondering if you found that ur school wanted students to have all A's to be accepted? this is something that im kinda stressing about

    thanks

  • @bree2496 They didn't, they did want volunteer hours and a descent GPA. Straight As, not so much.

  • @NurseNacole thats what i wanted to know

    thanks

  • Thanks for the inspiration! I am not yet in nursing school - have 3 more pre-reqs Blah!

  • @JustineAna You'll be there in no time, I wish you the best of luck.
