ive been playing guitar for 2 years (thanks to the epic song "Welcome Home" and its epic guitar parts), and when I tried learning "Here We Are Juggernaut" by ear, it was a bit hard cuz of the synths in the actual song. Once i found cover vids of the song like this one, i played the song instantly in its entirety. Other than that, great cover!

As far as learning this as a first song, you can give it a go, but i wouldn't recommend it unless you want to be spending weeks/months perfecting it. I've been playing 9 years and this riff is pretty tricky for myself! So if you're a beginner, your fingers won't be quick enough or agile enough to learn it. Though, determination achieves great things, so if you really want to learn it, nothings stopping you, you've just got to keep on practicing :)

@0stfu0 it really depends on how fast a learner you are :p i've only been playing for 7 months, on and off but really been trying hard these last few weeks, and I learned here we are jugg in about 30 mins, the whole song. Thats just knowing where all the notes are of course, Now to play it pefectly, i've yet to do. Usually a tad slow during travis part at the very end. But pratice makes "better' :P my best advice is only that, practice and lots of it :]

Hmmm...ever seen this live? You're mixing lead and rhythm and your playing doesn't flow. More Hammer-ons are used to make it nicer. You should listen again and maybe watch some live videos or even the music video. Hey, at least you played in the same key :D I'll give ya a thumbs up

my only thing to say about it is in the breakdown part (especially the section where it's "Answer me... did we take this too far?") you kind of have a boring part... half notes... yay... the first note of each time you did it had some vibrato, but none of the other notes did. I would put at least a little vibrato on more notes. Make sure somethin interestin is happen at all times ya know? xD

Hey!

Yeah I see what you mean, there's no guitar parts playing in that section, only a tiny synth, so I just played what the synth was playing to keep it as close to the song as possible. My only reason for not doing anything special was because I had only learnt the song the day before and wasn't really planning on recording it that day, and was surprised when I recorded it without mucking up on only the second take, so I just left it as that :)

one DVD that help me loads when i started playing and doing solos was paul gilberts intense rock 1 and 2. best DVD to help you i still love running through the lessons to this day. the lessons are probably on youtube should check them out.
