The hydraulic ram that would be needed to achieve the same 'squeeze' achieved by the pulleys, would be massive, and using the crane cable eliminates the need to run lines, pumps, etc.
What do you do to line up with the crane? do you just use the line for the bull hook? and do you actuate the bucket with the jib line? is that how it works???
I assume the machine that's ultimately going operate that bucket, is much larger than that crane?
