Except that scouts are often switched out for utilities like heavy, sniper, spy, and engineer if needed. Perhaps their scout just wasn't all that good at being a scout :P

My comp team usually swapped out either the roam or pocket soldier for situational classes like engi and sniper. But then again we have omgwtfamazing scouts so our sollys were more dispensable. Yeah I don't think their scouts were too pro, lol :P

Really depended on how good the other team we were playing was and which map. We'd obviously swap out the roam over the pocket though. :P Sometimes we'd have scouts play pocket and just have fun with it. We liked to be creative, lol

No player is unbeatable. Look at a lot of the other montages that involve league footage. If a scout get the advantage in a fight that close he will win. Showing deaths in a frag video isn't necessarily a bad thing, ending a streak without showing the end is a lot less interesting in my opinion. There's no shame in showing a death as long as the lead up to it is good. He self gibbed because the scout was too close, he was in a lose-lose situation. The best that could happen was both dieing.

#1 tip for demo's, never abandon the grenade launcher, practice it alot, don't ignore it and focus on stickies, practice it with your stickies, :)

I thought that Stickies were the only weapon you needed. I sure was wrong. Stickies have to land before they detonate. Grenades immediately make peoples go BOOM on a hit. Newcomers: Stick with the stickies. People with some skill: Take your grenades.

actually stickies DONT have to land before they det... theres just a small (less than 1 sec) delay between shooting and detonating... try it out for urself shoot a sticky really high and detonate in mid-air. but you are right about how ppl w/ skill use the nades more and stickies less

well they dont use it less i think they just become very accurate at hitting nades dead on like soldiers do with rockets, stickies are more for trapping, whereas nades are for quick defense and offense if your noticed

I just started doing pick-ups today. Got yelled at in match 1 for not knowing the voice toggle in ventrilo XD, and for being my worst class in pick-ups(just so happens to be the most important one), Medic. I did really good in match 2 with 2 of my best classes so far, Scout, and Sniper. In the last match I was yelled at again for being Medic, but I was a little better. BTW, do you play on the quakenet IRC?
