Faison tells the bird not to bite him! ROFL! I mean right in the middle of talking about having Desiree killed! :) Sean, Anna, and Robert scene BRAVO! FANTASTIC! At 5:26 When Robert said how could how could you do that? I started to cry! :(
As much impact as this scene has, had Sean not broken them up, then Anna would have continued to lie to Robert about her double agent past. Robert would have eventually found out one way or another, and their marriage would have been built on a lie. I don't think that marriage would have survived one way or another. But this certainly makes for great drama!
I don't know. I think Anna would have told Robert eventually. Would he still have left her? Maybe, but I think he would have known about Robin before he would have had the chance and, well, that bond kept them going for this long.
This story of the deep friendship of R,A, and Sean is still good today. I think it connects with us because of what it says about being friends- that friendship is not immune to failures and problems, but that we all long for broken relationships to be mended. GH had it right back then and pulled us in, and kept us waiting breathless for each next word and expression. I miss that.
ICAM! It's amazing to me that all three of them were needed on the canvass. As much as I loved R/A, Sean just added so much texture or something to the stories. It's because of the relationship that the three of them had. I miss these days of character driven story. It's so obvious to me that the writers spent time saying, "How would Sean tell this story?" Instead of "let's get this story out so we can introduce the next bad guy."
There was relationship and that's what soaps are built on
The writers were very careful to make sure that they got the history right. I have every confidence in their timeline.
I love how there is so much exposition that explains so many loose ends, but it's not clunky, it all just works. If I could develop one skill, it would be to write like this.
And yes, the real love speech (about Tiff). His belief that R/A belong together. My heart breaks in these scenes. When I was falling behind in watching, I was so afraid I would miss this!

"Wait a minute. Wait a minute. You sent me out to find a double agent. A double agent." I've always assumed that TR was trying to remember his lines. He covered for that a whole lot better than certain lead actors now. And I'm pretty sure this was one episode where his didn't ab lib at all.

Robin was actually almost 7 when Robert found out about Robin. I think he is actuall referring the time we got to be with her. After he found out about her and the Asain Quarter stoyline ended. Robert left town. He came back for a while in '86 for about 6 months(maybe less then that). He returned for good in '87. That is when they supposely killed Holly off that is until '92 when Robert and Anna were killed off 'supposely. They supposely kill people off and then bring them back.

Robin would have been 7 in October of 1985 and in 1990 they had turning 13. So they did age her 1 year by the looks of it. If you include Anna's pregancy Robert and Anna would have been apart close to 8 years.
@dlwoods7 Agreed. I was thinking the same thing - factoring in Anna's pregnancy. Writers just rounded the years off. Plus 8 years sounds better than seven. Great twist of story. Remember how we didn't quite trust Sean when he first came to GH and rightfully so when it came to the Aztec Treasure. Seems he always has had a little secret - like he just wasn't on the straight and narrow. Life changing scene for the characters of Robert and Anna.
How did Robert go eight years without knowing he had a daughter and Robin was six when he met her?
