  • Do you have to buy a special made usb cord? or is it just a double jack cord like for an ipod or phone? Also does this amp have any programmable rythym or drum tracks? I am gonna buy a new amp very very soon. Its either gonna be a VYPYR 75 or a fender mustang 3. Your comments are welcome and I need some input. Both amps are in the same price range but I like the included software & pedal that comes with mustang. The pedal that you have to buy for the vypyr is an extra $200. INPUT PLEASE

  • paul has the best job ever

  • can you gig with this amp? I play high gain shit such as Killswitch Engage, BFMV, and Trivium

  • @dan95brantner depends what you mean with 'gig'. i'd say as a big ass amp as it is you could turn it up loud in a live situation and play perfectly. and nice band selection bro :)

  • How would you record direct from the amp to the PC? Is there a recording/line out?

  • @ArtOfRuin75 it's got a usb out to record with

  • should i get this or the line 6 plzzz help

  • @TheBigdev23 I've got line 6 Spider 3 and my friend has Vypyr. I can say Vypyr totaly beats Line 6 :)

  • *Hey, this is Paul from guitar world*

I love it when he says that <3 aha

  • I wan't one, I think it will be an upgrade from my 100w Marshall MG.

  • @eramir228 i have this amp. take this amp its amazing for metal

  • @eramir22 You should definatly get the Peavey, i've heard from a lot of people that it has a much better sound... The Line 6 sounds like a jar of bees. I own a thirty watt Peavey Vypyr and it is much lounder and better sounding than my friends Marshall 90 watt amp. Also the Vypyr has a lot more effects than the Line 6, but the Line 6 has a lot of custom built presets... GO WITH THE PEAVEY VYPYR!!!!!!

  • Edible guitar fx

  • @ricochetfuzzy Is that good?

  • I played one but it was a single cutaway. Very nice guitar!

  • hey im in a band and i only have a shitty 30 watt drive amp, so i cant be heard in gigs, is this good for playing medium sized indoor venues? also, can you get a tone thats metal but has a bit of meat on it? something like dimebag darrells tone or judas priest?

  • help! how do you take the effect off?

  • whats the difference between the 75 watt version and the 30 watt?

  • If Australia didnt have inflation. I would have this amp right now

  • i've always wondered.. do you need to warm up the amp before playing? i know you need to do that with tube amps but this is not so

  • @store1992 nope you do not. its also really nice, because when the amp is on, you cant tell it is, until you play. there is no feed back.

  • @store1992 Not needed on this one.

  • @store1992 There are no tubes in this amp, although it sounds like there could be. I own the vypyr 30, and it boots up in about 4 seconds.

  • @store1992 no

  • @store1992 Nah, just got for it. It's not tubed so you're just good to go.

  • @store1992 no because its solid state

  • @store1992 nahh you dont, you play play strait away

  • "floating point processor" Didn't realize an '80s PC selling point would be a marketed feature for a guitar amp.

  • Do you even need to hook up a foot pedal to it to get distorted effects?

  • @eramir228 You should get the Peavey Vypyr 120 120w. I have it and it is pretty f**ken' awesome! You can look at some of my videos and hear the sound quality ... even though I suck and haven't been playing very long. Sounds great with the USB out into Garageband.

  • I just picked one of these up....it's an AMAZING piece of equipment!!!

  • To get a really good metal sound from this amp, right when u turn it on hold on preset number 4 till a blink cones out.makes the amp sound better distorted

  • @eramir228 Don't waste your money on a digital modeling amp. All you get is someone else's tone "programmed" with a mask on into your amp. Get a Peavey Valveking, the amp is about $800, and is seriously beast.

  • I have the Bandit 112 transtube 2004 model, 100 watts, kicks ass.

Now that I have seen this, I gotta get me a 120 watt vyper!

  • so whats a good metal amp anyone? cause im in need of a new on that is loud enough for shows and shiiit

  • how about the sanpera I pedal?

  • Bought this amp after a lot of deliberation. As far as modelling amps go, this one is great. My beef with Line 6 spider has always been the "digital" sound. Yah sure, tubes rule, we get it. But for those of us who don't have a money tree growing in our backyard... It's very versatile, affordable, and most of all FUN.

  • @eramir228 i play exactly the same as you and am in the same case...im gna get the peavy..

  • @steliozzfil GET THE 100 WATT!!!! PLZZ :P

  • @eramir228 Vyper. Mainly because the metal sound on Line 6's sound very bland and weak. That amp is really great for a beginner looking for a whole variety of tones for learning. The Vyper has a thick distortion that is very meaty. The Eq on the Vyper feels like an "EQ" The controls on the line 6 seem childish and robotic. I would strongly recommend the Vyper. I have nothing against line 6 at all. Rock on!

  • @eramir228

    Peavey.

  • its edible!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Guys i really need some help! i'm mostly playing metal . I'm looking for an amp thats full of distortion and tone in a budget 200$-500$ max ! i was thinking of choosing between this one (peavey vypyr 75) and a Peavey Valveking 112....can anyone tell me which one is better or if i should get another amp ? (looking for a great tube distortion amp(Not modelling but i've seen this one is pretty good sounding)) PLease HELP! THX

  • @BMXshark well i got the bandit, it's got way more distortion than the valveking, but its transtube, doesn't have effects except reverb but it's versatile with the tone

  • i have one of those and it's AAAAAAAAMAAAAAAZING

  • paul is DA MAN! i really dont care for all of the effects in this amp but the quality of the distortion, is it better than line 6 amps? i have a line 6 spider 3 15 and i hate the distortion cause it sounds terrible, this amp have good distortion?

  • can someone help me? i really love the distortion i get from a boss mt-2 pedal, can this amp get that type of sound? i play avenged sevenfold type of music and mainly use distortion and clean. can you also gig with this amp? is it loud enough to be louder than drums?

  • you guys should do these with a less exspensive guitar so us less loaded folks could hear what our epiphones might sound like

  • can u switch presets without the sanpera pedal ?

  • 1:25 - I didn't know you could actually eat the effects... LOL

  • does it come with the footswitch????

  • 12 people don't like red guitar cables...

  • I knew Michael J Fox played guitar in back to the future, But i never knew he worked for Guitar World

  • @JoeFarmerFarndonJr haha same tought...Great Scott! thats heavy!

  • @JoeFarmerFarndonJr (Nelson laugh) Ha-haa!

Yeah, don't break that whammy bar there Michael J.

Just kidding, actually I wish I could play as good as he does.

I haven't been playing very long. I will be getting this amp for sure.

  • mine sounds 10 million times better than that one

what he dosent show u is how good it sounds w/o effects.

  • Wat type of cable is needed for the sanpera 2 pedal to hook up to the amp?

  • Is this good for metal cus i want one

  • he sounds pretty gay.. but still ROCK!!!! \m/ nice :D

  • All these modeling amps are shit,

  • @cmgill2 I'm no where near the money for tube amps and i need a good solid state thats around 60 watts or higher, why are modeling amps bad?

  • @zqmbfg are a fair bit more expensive. for most people's purposes however a modeling amps tone is good enough, and allows for a variety of sounds you normally couldn't achieve without having 1000's of dollars worth of amps and pedals. usually worth the money unless your looking for a very specific sound.

  • like it !!!

  • @wrestling45 it actually not a tube amp it's solid state but they call it a transtube amp, whatever that means. Peavey does make a tube 60 and a tube 120.

  • i have the 75 watt the 15 doesnt have stompboxes

  • did he say , 400 effects ?

  • i just bout one and its amazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzing

  • OMG! VERY GOOD AMP!

  • 2904 sounds to be exact. Not including different EQ settings

  • I'm definetly gettin this it's perfect for it's price! Great stock metal overdrive tone

  • Can you bypass all the efects and distorsions from the amp, and use it with multi fx procesor ? Thanks : )

  • Cmon....way to only talk about the effects and not talk about any real tone

  • Question!, the tube 60 or the 75?? this is transtube, for a bullet for my valentine or a drop b- bflat tuning?? which 1

  • @hardystyles Get the tube 60 I have Both and i Like the Tube 60 better

  • @hardystyles None. Learn standard tuning and good bands. xD hahah just kidding, I'd say go 75, transistor amps are better for heavy and lots of destruction, for warmer tones, then go tube :)

  • If your gonna choose between this or the Bandit 112, choose this by far because it's a tube amp and has a bunch of different amp models which sound better than the Bandit haha.

  • does the sanpera 1 comes with the presets as well as sanpera 2?

  • @alexisd3 no, but it has access to the 12 presets on the vypyr amp.

  • @alexisd3 Just get the sanpera 2. because there is way way more capabilities than just 1. Check out my channel to listen to all the sounds I used.

  • My friend has this Amp and it's been stuck in my bedroom for the past 3 months and I haven't touched it once xD I think I'll actually play with it now ;D.

  • line 6 spider 4 75W or this? Or any other amp that can play metal?

  • @dieandgoaway line 6 have more distortion but peavey has heard louder

    peavey is undoubtedly the best

line 6 has dijital sound and that sucks

    zorry for my english

im mexican xD i hope you serve this

  • @dieandgoaway vypyr. you can always go to a music store and try several diffrent amps in your price range

  • @dieandgoaway

Dont forget Roland....all 3 brands are pretty nice. Just go to a big guitar store nearby and play them all for a few hours, you'll find the one you like best

  • that wah setting was extremely harsh :/

  • I've got the Vypyr 30 and Sanpera II = FUCKING ROCKS!

  • i got a great sound on this amp here it is:

tube scream, 1.5 feedback, delay 1.5

    Dix

    Chorus effect, parameter 1: 1.5 Parameter 2: 5

Put your guitar tone on middle, 7 volume, and 10 tone

  • hey guys, i have no idea about amps but i want a new one.. would this amp be any good for guns n roses style? hard rock basically... or are there others that would be better? my limit is £300

  • I think I know what I want for christmas

  • is this amp loud?

  • Ugliest PRS I've ever seen- that is a HORRENDOUS burst :P Funny, cause I usually think they're beautiful.

  • @koreaboy2442 if you want an amp that 's simple but with a great sound get the bandit 112, but if you want a lot of differents great sounds get the vypyr. I have the vypyr 30 and it rock!

  • how do i use 5 effects? i can only use 2

  • @MasterGodfather97 Delay, reverb, stompbox, effect and volume (if you have the pedal)

  • so does the 15 watt version have all of those settings too? i want a Vypyr amp but i can't afford the 75 watt.

  • @smellyDEADMEAT you propbly already have it by now but ill tell you anyway it dosent have all those settings but it is still a good amp ill recomend it to begginers and pros

  • anyone know how to loop?

  • @mufafa777 you need the pedal :(

  • @mufafa777 Got the sanpera pedal?

  • @MadSub0 wats better, line 6 spider 4 series or vox vt series???

  • @koreaboy2442 A tube amp ;-)

  • please change your hair !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • should i get this or the peavey transtube bandit 112??? please help

  • @MadSub0 should i get this or the peavey bandit 112??

  • HEY GaljoTOTO; There are 2 ,a Sanpera I and II,both PEAVEYS,more presets & you're able to Enable a Very USEABLE LOOPER,not like a 10 second P.O.S.

  • how is it playing with a drummer on a small and big room? the 75W one.

  • I am planning on buying the peavey vypyr 15w and this is going to be my first peavey amp so don`t think of me as ignorant but I was just wondering as far as wah goes can you use a wah pedal such as a crybaby with these amps or do you have to buy the sanpera pedal with it?

  • @ZebrasFromHell - you can plug anything you want to in between your guitar and the amp, just like any other amp. It has no effects loop, however.

  • @ZebrasFromHell with any amp, you can use any pedals man. just plug the effect into the amp then the pedal to your guitar

  • @ZebrasFromHell

I bought the 15W. It's nice but you can't use the foot switch with it and 1 or 2 effects. After 4 months I got the 75W. Just because I have to know.

  • @vasam05 Haha. That is EXACTLY my stituation

  • Is there footswitch for this amp?

  • Anyone stating this amp sounds "THIN,Digital, etc, either is playing through a HONDO Les paul Copy,or ISN'T Using the VERY TWEAKABLE Amp Models,FX properly,I have NEVER had a Combo amp that SOUNDED as HUGE as this, and the HI-GAIN Models are just AWESOME,I only had the 30 watt, but,am moving to the 75 that has a few more "GOODIES added. I hooked my 30 watt line out to another Amp w/ 4x12,using it only as a POWER AMP,...INSTANT EARGASM!! These Amps rival ANY other Modeling amp,SS otr Tube.

  • I have this amp and its okay, However I cant get a good crunchy distortion out of it, It sounds real thin on high distortion, Most amp models are muffled too. I dont like it

  • whats octaver?...like a bass note being played behind every guitar's note?

  • @joker6951 pretty much, whatever note you play it plays that note an octave down

  • i got the vypyr 30 1x12 " bleu marvel and its LOUD wow i cant believe it ! its a really nice amp, sounds great for a modeling amp.i play with a modified bc rich. i changed the brige pick up for a D Sonic dimarzio pickup with the bar towards the bridge and BOOOOOOOM wow

  • fuck it im getting this amp for xmas

  • What i've recorded with mine !!

    watch?v=5W4144qcvlI

  • Hey should i get the 15 watt amp or the 30 watt amp ? i was gonna get a line 6 but this kicks ass !

  • please someone tell me.. peavy vyper 75 or line 6 spider iv 75?

  • @Ekwok94 get the vypyr, really... I played the spider iv and the vypyr... i bought the vypyr in the end

  • @Ekwok94 peavey vypyr. x10000 haha

  • @Ekwok94 Peavey.

Line 6's sound really digitised and boring.

  • @Ekwok94 I'm think same, but what i have heard they say peavey vypyr is better and worth every dollar

  • @Ekwok94

    Vypyr.

  • can you customize the wah sound?

  • @jake9308 yeah not much but you can

  • the octaver sound reminds me of like a frankenstien effect.

  • Cmobine this with a Line 6 M13 foot pedal and you get some awesome sound!

  • is this digital............

  • @bluetseel the distortion is analog. not sure about everything else

  • Gotta buy the 30 w version and the Sanpera 1

  • Paul always makes good reviews! I respect him very much! He made a good video this time as well.

  • What's the difference between the vypyr 75 and the tube 60? Besides the fact that 60 has tubes and the other is digital. Plus Is it good for stuff like classic rock hair metal southern rock dio black sabbath and van halen styles? Please give me a response

  • @codyjt5150 I want to know the same thing, coz I dont know I should buy!!!... Answers please!

  • @Dicarvaj it is very difficult to buy a good amp. Buy a amp that sounds good for you, because other people has other taste in sound. Only you know what sound you will have;) sorry about my English! i hope it helps

  • @codyjt5150

Nothing. Tube has a better tone thats all. I got the 75 which is a solid state and its kick ass.

  • i got the 15w and it still rocks !

  • @halofifa man i have to

    but SUCKS

    and 30 w still sucks

    75 and 100 realy rocks!

  • its exactly a minuet from when he says about the sanpera to when he actually shows it

  • I have this amp and I Barely found out it has 4 different speaker settings. When u turn it on hold 1 of the preset buttons for brighter darker tones etc the fourth one sounds really good distorted really nice touch

  • I am afraid of buying peavey vypyr because it has lots of issues until now even with the latest firmware installed. I don't want to waste my money just for nothing.

  • I am wondering whether, through the usb, you can record an effected channel PLUS a dry channel (for re-amping) at the same time with the Vypyr? Sometimes I like to change my sounds after recording them.

  • distorsion 4ever!!!!!!!

  • bought this amp few months ago it's pretty sick!!!

  • how much louder is it??

  • what type of guitar is that?

  • @bruceleerules747 Its a PRS 24 custom. (aka Paul Reed Smith)

  • this amp sounds ... delicious?

  • He must of been hungry when he recorded this.

  • i'm just looking for an amp with quality tone for under 300. I found this on musicians friend. I get the feeling that since it has 75 Watts it would be lacking on quality of tone. I could be wrong. Any thoughts? I don't really need any of the effects because i have a good effects pedal.

  • @blacksabbathgnr098 well i bought this like a month ago and in my opinion it has a really awesome tone especially on low volumes go check it out in your local music store

  • EDIBLE EFFECTS. OM NOM NOM.

  • @JTNorquay Does the Auto Wah have cinnamon on it? ME LIKE CINNAMON!

  • would peavey vypyr 100 make alot of difference or not?

  • @anthony197666

It would just ake difference on loudness, facts are all the same and it just has 2 speakers...

  • this amp cost me 780 at music force butt i dident get the foot pedal with it god damn it hahaha i just hook a zoom fx pedal to get some cranking distortion out of it..not bad for the price if you ask me

  • can anyone tell me that if an amp has more watt, does it make it a better amp? for example choosing between peavey vypyr 75 or peavey vypyr 100.

  • @anthony197666

The only difference is that the 100 watt is a 2x12 amp, meaning it has 2 speakers. Having an extra speaker will make a bit of difference.

  • i heard that this amp can freeze up, does that happen ?

  • @sonnybeilbill3 i own this amp for like 1,5 years i think.. and it never happend to me.

  • That clean delay setting near the end is actually amazing.

  • I have the 15 watt version. I'm wishing I had paid the extra 100 for the 30 watt.

  • Nice i hear rush, van halen, zappa sounds etc "in your playing"....

  • i have the 120 watt version and its an incredible amp, the amount of tones is incredible

  • the compression on these amps sound great.... alot of punch

  • 11 edible.... editable!

  • i really enjoy my Vypyr, for the price it's excellent.

  • I want this amp sooooo freeekin bad, so far got $200 saved up

  • @TurkishMan8594 Its totally worth it! If you check my tube. All of that is the peavey vypyr 75w

  • i dont know why but my vypyr even when i put up the volume and overdrive it always sounds crunchy. i cant get a heavy tone out of it if someone knows how to get a heavier tone please tell me

  • @chunkeymonkey100 Set on full treble, bass and set the mids to 0 and put on alot of distortion!
