A couple days ago my EVO 3D stoped playing the green hornet in 3D and now won't play videos on YouTube in 3D... Does anyone know what's wrong with it?? I can still take videos and pictures aswell as games in the 3D so i know the 3D still works. Is there some kind of switch to watch videos or movies on 3D. Someone please answer

does anyone notice how low the benchmark scores are for evo3D in the read & write to SDcard tests? maybe its a hardware defect or maybe needs a firmware or kernel update cause right now it cant write on an SD card fast enough so it definitely wont be able to write data fast enough for 1080p video....check it out if you have an evo, & its not the sd card because the evo3D come with a class4 sd card which write at 4mbs & 1080p needs less than 3mbs to record. so its the phone. or the bus system.

2D is actually 1080p while 3D is 720p on the Evo 3D. The sound was pretty good until it cut off, though. The video quality was decent as well, especially considering how it's not a digital camera itself.

@rhinnawi95 Specs were wrong. It shoots in 720P 2D and 3D and it can play back 1080P content.

@rhinnawi95 It's a possibility, however, just remember that it's better to have a high quality 720p recording as opposed to a low quality 1080p. Sensors and optics mean as much as pixels do to a certain extent.

@GUMMYBEAYUH Makes sense, though when you think about it, we're not buying digital cameras here. It's good to have great cameras so you can share everything, especially while you're out places, but if you want super quality, you should go and buy a great, dedicated digital camera. Am I right?

Sound cutting out is definitely software. Should be fixed soon, considering that the company is HTC.

Before it cut out, though, I thought the sound was coming from his camcorder!

Lol! Read the engadget evo 3D review. The specsheet of the evo 3D is wrong. There is no 1080p recording even on 2d. Htc already admitted it an changed the specsheet already. Google it. ;)

@Yankzz21 You have been missed informed. It does not have 1080p It's only a 5 megapixel camera. It was said to have 1080 at first but the phone does not come with 1080p only 720p

@AnythingAndroid the fact that it has a 5mp camera has nothing to do with it not recording @ 1080p, its the video encoders that take care of the resolution, a 5mp camera has a resolution of "2696 x 1856" more than 1080p. so a firmware upgrade can fix this,

Like everyone else commented...what happened to the sound? Also, Aaron why not do the 1080p video? I was pretty sire the phone was capable of that or am I wrong? To the post further down...even if he did a 3d video demo u most likely will not be able to see that effect on ur computer unless u have a 3d monitor that u are using to view the video
