I would rather just my custom one 2 sheets of metal with 3 fans in the middle at 12v mains plug loud but I can change the speed and it really keeping my old notebook which was 1409£ 4 years ago need a mac lol

U1 has only one fan...The U2 has 2 fans...I know cus I just got my U1 for my M11x R2 :D

@scavenger4life The U1 is definitely the better fit for the m11x...If ya get the U2 it'll look ugly cus at the side the pad will be jutting out...The U2 is a much better fit for the M14x tho...

lol if this IS the 'Cooler Master NotePal (U2)', it fits your 13" a little too well. this wouldn't be ideal for 15" users even with the statements 14"-15" laptops and up to 17" compatibility at 'Newegg' since the hot spots for Macbook Pro's are concentrated on the top left corners. i think i'll get U3 instead with the statements given 15"-17" notebooks (up to 19").

Test with a macbook? Have you ever look at the bottom of the macbook? There's nothing just plain aliminium. No vent holes, so there's no point to use a cooler.

@DrifterKirrr If you place the fans at the hinge of the macbook it works great! because the heat blows out through the keyboard, that's how the macbook pro unibody works, and it sucks air in through the hinge area.

@JorbanAB You are wrong. The macbooks sucks the fresh air trough the keyboard and blow it out at the hinge. I've got a powerbook and number of macbooks and they do it in the same way as is described.

None of your cooler reviews actually supply data or show any drops or increases in temperatures. You could have used Hardware Monitor or Speed Fan, etc. to actually give us a feel of whether or not the cooler is really worth it. Grip is secondary to cooling. If you're going to get stuff from companies to review, please give us some more info.

@jurgenw18 U1 refers to the size of the pad (U2 is for larger laptops, and there's an even larger U3 version). There is a version of U1 that comes without fans, but there's another version that comes with one fan. If his really did come with 2 fans though, then you're right, it's a U2 model.

man cant you describes your cpu tempertures differences more? You just mention it does what it's suppossed to. I have a macbook aluminum, when I'm hard gaming sometimes in certain games it gets so hot the CPU has to throttle down and everything gets choppy. I need to know if a cooler is going to fix that
