@nevets4433 Whenever I can throw in a funny, silly, non-sequitor I go for it. Seriously, this is one of the softest, most comfortable mouthfeel beers I've ever drank. It's to your tongue as petting a chinchilla is to your hand.
I like this beer.... in my opinion its better then ellies brown ale by Avery.... chad, if you're looking for a good beer to review the Perpetual IPA by troegs is a great one....
@coffeefish Whaaaaaaaaat?! That's by far one of the weirdest comments I've ever received in the last three years. Bud is brewed with light malts and rice. Brown ales are brewed with dark malts - which accounts for the nutty-like flavors. It's just plain incorrect to say you get a peanut taste from Bud because it's not brewed to have that kind of flavor. Bud tastes more like Rice Krispies.
@ChadzBeerReviews Well, I did include this part, sort of a disclaimer "(at least to my taste.)" Fresh Bud, mostly in the large glass bottle, has a very clear peanut taste to me.
Could you review perhaps Hinterland's Amber Ale? Or I've heard good things about Boulevard's Dark Truth Stout so maybe that?

@Albion426 can't get Boulevard in NY. Never heard of the other one.

Yeah at 6.5% ABV it could certainly be more robust than what you are describing.
StumpyJoeJr 5 months ago
@StumpyJoeJr Youd' think so. But you gotta give them props for masking that ABV so well. It drinks like something so much smaller.

I've sadly never tried anything from Smuttynose, but i always hear good reviews. Have you ever tried Avery's brown ale?

@archbow Their IPA and Pumpkin ales are much better than this.

I like a beer with nut flavors. One reason I like Bud, is it has a very clean peanut taste (at least to my taste.)
