  • I dont understand the part where If he had done the dua for the guy to grow a beard then it would have been a shirk. can someone explain?

  • mashallah , sheikh i never seen like you and like your ideology (Akedah) may all provide you more and bless all muslims brothers

  • But Allah put your mustache there too? And your armpits, but you shave it, right? And what about those men who cant grow any beard? They´re women? Please bro.

    +

  • His analogy is poor, Mr Estes, why do you cut the hair on your head? Why do you circumcise? why do you put on clothes? You see people, God made us the way we are but there's nothing wrong with trimming a beard or getting a haircut for that matter. God doesn't want us to 'impress' him with our apearance. He want's our sincereity

  • @schpoogie And what better way to be sincere to God, than to follow His commands?

  • @xxillidinxx My friend, i agree with you, we can show sincerity to God by doing what He tells us to do. But I don't see how growing a beard is going to particularily please God. Jesus told us to love another, that is a command i can do which has meaning and beauty

  • @schpoogie And I agree with you that loving one another and spreading peace is a noble and worthy cause. This is promoted in Islam just as it was promoted in Christianity and Judaism. Because all these religions are from the same God.

God commands us to grow a beard. Its up to us to follow it or leave it. Whatever He commands, serves a purpose. Sometimes the wisdom of certain things is unclear right away, but that still doesn't stop us from being obedient to God. It is after all called 'Faith'.

  • @xxillidinxx May I ask, where in the Quran or Sunnah does it say "love another". I've never read the whole Quran, only sections, and segments that were read to me.

I agree with you, a man's wisdom is only equivilant to God's foolishness (so man can never attain such wisdom)

  • @schpoogie The Quran and Sunnah teaches us how to be kind to our parents, and lower the wings of humility to them; and how to behave with our wives and how to cherish & respect them; how to be kind and gentle to the old, and to be gentle with the children rather than being harsh; to be forgiving towards the ignorant. The Quran and Sunnah teaches us the rights of our neighbors upon us and how important it is to be on good terms with them; to help the wayfarer. Is all this not love?

  • @xxillidinxx Yes most of those are acts of love, but really that's what everyone does, everyone is kind to thier parents, everyone respects and cherishes thier wives, everyone is gentle to the old... Jesus said "If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you?" "Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, lend to others without expecting anything in return..." Luke 6:27 It's just so beautiful to me.

  • @schpoogie and God is not foolish. But I will tell you what God is: He is the All-Merciful. And it is truly His mercy to have blessed us with Islam: The Way of Life.

May Allah open up your chest to the truth, and may you read more and comprehend even more, and learn the truth.

May Allah grant you the sweetness of faith. Ameen.

  • @xxillidinxx I didn't mean to say that God is foolish, me saying "mans wisdom is God's foolishness" is just to show how far off we are from true wisdom, because obviously God isnt foolish. Yes I would like to read more, can you please send me the verses that teach the rights of our neighbours and being in good terms with them. And send me a few other good verses, i'm willing to read; i have access to a Quran

  • @schpoogie Chapter 4, Verse 36:

"And serve Allah. Ascribe no thing as partner unto Him. (Show) kindness unto parents, and unto near kindred, and orphans, and the needy, and unto the neighbour who is of kin (unto you) and the neighbour who is not of kin, and the fellow-traveller and the wayfarer and (the slaves) whom your right hands possess. Lo! Allah loveth not such as are proud and boastful," (Surah An-Nisa, 4:36)

    I will send you more...

  • @schpoogie

Allaah tells us if we are patient and pious, the plot of the enemy cannot do any harm, even if he is powerful, as He says (interpretation of the meaning):

“But if you remain patient and become Al-Muttaqoon (the pious), not the least harm will their cunning do to you. Surely, Allaah surrounds all that they do”

(Surah Aal ‘Imraan, Chapter 3: Verse 120)

  • @schpoogie

“And whosoever puts his trust in Allaah, then He will suffice him”

    (Surah Al-Talaaq, Chapter 65: Verse 3)

“.verily, in the remembrance of Allaah do hearts find rest”

    Surah Al-Ra’d, Chapter 13, Verse 28)

  • im a non-muslim and i don't get drunk and waste money, none of my friends do this (christian and non-christians). Yusef is a harsh generaliser.

  • @schpoogie The total national BEER consumption of United States is 23,974,000,000 Liters per year.

    and that's JUST for beer.

So if you don't do it, nor do your christian & non-christian friends,....... then it MUST be the muslims!

  • @xxillidinxx My point was that it's not good for Estes to generalise westeners as drunkards because not all of us are. I don't think it's justified for Estes to claim righteousness when many other people are spending thier friday nights doing good, constructive things.

  • @schpoogie Please visit wikipedia and find a list of countries that consume alcohol. And look at the figures. The top 40 consumers all are NON-MUSLIM countries. And if I may say so, Western countries (Europe, America etc).

The number of people spending friday nights productively is far and few in the west. I can show you all the statistics and numbers and give you proof. But it is up to you to see the truth or turn away from it.

  • @xxillidinxx Look, this business about people in the west going out getting drunk doesn't affect me, I know that I don't get drunk and that's what's important isn't it?

  • @schpoogie If you don't get drunk and refrain from alcohol, then you are doing yourself a favor. And I'm happy for you.

May God show you the way. Ameen.

  • @xxillidinxx Thank you

  • @schpoogie you're most welcome! :)

  • @xxillidinxx That's good, i like 436, I never heard of that verse before. I'm really into Christianity because it's main focus is about love and relationships and i know that God loves every one of us. Thanks again

  • I am not Muslim, Christian, or Jewish, I like to have a well groomed beard and look good. It's part of me now I do not like having no facial hair but I need to trim it.

  • @MuslimahFirdous Thanks I love my beard too.

  • Rofl. I dont think Gilette likes this guy

  • a long pendulous beard looks like a rag thrown in the rubbish

  • MASHA ALLAH...GREAT VIEWS BY THIS MUSLIM BROTHER WHO WAS A CHRISTIAN PREACHER BEFORE .....AND BECAME MUSLIM WHILE TRYING TO CONVERT A MUSLIM TO CHRISTIAN.....MAY ALLAH BLESS HIM,AMEN......

  • Why cut your mustache or the hair on your head? If they were supposed to be shorter, why didn't Allah make them stop growing like the hair on your arms? If they're designed to keep growing, why go against the designers design?

@2:44 I guess some women don't want dirty sandpaper in their face.

  • @OptimisticCynic715 not necessary to cut your hair on your head, it can be left until it reaches your shoulders not any longer as that will then resemble the hair of a woman, mustache should be shortened because if t gets to long it will interfere with your food and or drink. (have a glass of chocolate milk with a long overdue uncut mustache), remember what sandpaper is? it is the brittle of sand particles on paper, something like a 5 o clock shadow, not what a woman wants

  • niice

  • In this video Shakh has covered his head why not in other videos. That mean he does not care, if he does not cover is head.

  • Always a pleasure to listen to yusuf, May Allah bless him all those dear to him, for his important service to Islam. I would like to say one thing though, people shud really look into the study behind the compilation and subsequent usage of hadith and then decide whether it provides a solution. I hv nothing against a beard and plan to inshaAllah keep one later on, simply because shaving is a pain! However, i do believe that islam does not forbid shaving. In all the authentic hadith used as evid

  • come on his statements are legendary :) He told this story years back ;)

  • lol

  • lol... good one
