At my understanding this is not about the Wright brothers, but Da Vinci.... for the Characoals part... can anyone clarify this?? Maybe I just dont get it.
Seriously.. Thank you for the images and thank Alan for the fine tune. I hope you continue to use your talent and vision. Very inspirational. Blessings to you. Peace
I just cry when I hear Graham Dye's great voice on this track. A great way to tell the story of manned flight - the video is well compiled too - I am so glad to be able to see the brothers Dye perform near my home town nearly every week - such talent! Love 'em!
One could say if it annoy's you, don't listen to it were all influenced by writer's composers of music, you just cannot escape it, alan alone here or with writing partner eric woolfson of the project still forged thy're own idenity outside of these influences, in the end enjoy for those old enough to remembr the inspired influence just smile those young not to remember it's new to them anway , i agree with sisterdebmac it's a homage.
This really struck a chord with me, as a Hang Glider pilot,I salute those brave souls of yesteryear, talk about cajones! Also, the shots of the geese were just awesome!!
@litltime oh my all my life i thought it was hand glider because your hands are holding the glider is that weird or what by the way whats it like up there i mean you alone with your glider i never did it i dont like things outside of my control so i suppose i,m missing a lot, its interesting a phrase or term how its really written is different than how you heard and music of course is exactly the same bw safe up there too.
10 stars! As a private pilot, this really hit s nerve. There have been people, through all history, that have felt the need, the reality, the desire to fly. It speaks to us, in some odd way, that we can't explain to anyone else. Something tugs at those strings. Orville and Wilbur finally brought that need to reality. This is prefect genius of music and video.
Great job on this video. I have never heard this song before; it tells quite a story. We take flying for granted these days, but they had the imagination to get the shape of the wings aerodynamic enough to create lift and have the bravery to actually get on an untested flying machine 100 years ago is amazing.
The goose in the center takes a crap at 3:19.

If this music cant inspire anybody to reach his dreams I dont know hwat can do it!
Si esta canción no puede inspirar a cualquiera a alcanzar sus sueños no sé que pudiera hacerlo.

AP couldnt deny influence from the Beatles (he participated on their albums as a young man).
But sometimes its just too apparent and it annoys me, for instance in this song.
spiritos22 2 years ago
Why can't you see it as what it obviously is, an homage?
sisterdebmac 2 years ago
PS: I hear more early Parsons, a la Turn Of A Friendly Card in it than Beatles.

At 3:30 this song changes to something like... a Beatles song! Very fascinating video, and marvellous song, as the whole album *On Air*.

This singer sounds like Lennon and I dont think its a coincidence.
He sang "Light of the world" on Stereotomy and never sounded more Lennon...
