He plays bass like it too. weird. I tried it with my mates left handed and it was like learning all over again

I'm a big Doves fan but I've never taken a behind the scenes interest in them so I don't know their names but has the lead singer always played guitar upside down? I can't understand why anyone would want to learn that way all the fingering would be so 'un-natural'.

I think one of the reasons I love Doves so much is that they are so damned authentic. You can hear England in their music. It's hard to describe, but you get a genuine sense of place from their songs. So true to their roots, and so unlike most commerical music, most of which could be from anywhere. This, coming from an Aussie who spent 3.5 years there.

There are few bands that are able to do this, a good Australian one being Augie March, and The National being one more...

I remember rushing to the store to buy Lost Souls after hearing "Catch the Sun" on the radio for the first time, and have gotten every album since. I love this band's songs and sound. I still don't think they've topped Lost Souls, though. I have to admit, it's nice to hear one of their songs placed somewhere. Always makes me smile. And this version should TOTALLY be a B-side somewhere!
