Thank you Marc...when I was a teenage runaway...I was hiding out waaaay out in a little house on the prairie...but there was an 8 trak of T. REX...I played it over and over...you kept me company and kept me from going insane....I love you and you left me too early...much luv...
@thevelvettgoldmine - Take pleasure in the fact that you are one of the few of your age group who carry the torch - and think of how much you would have lost had you not 'gotten it'.
Some people have said my music sounds like this. If you like it you'll probably like some of the original music I recently recorded. To hear it click on wisztrock. Thanks.
Me and my Les Paul, deep in my heart there is a house that can hold all off you!
with Flow & Eddy on vocals , it is the best song from my childhood. I am brining up two young boys 10 & 12 who have an ear for music. Thank god I can give them some inspiration from Marc.
this was originally titled "universe orb reverberations" but the orb manufactuers industry lobbyists fought T"Rex tooth and nail in small claims court and trounced them, therefore "spaceball ricochet"
It's hard to say, but this may be my favorite. Saw a negative comment on another T REX song, calling The Slider repetitive. It's not though, just one song kinda flows to the next with few radical changes. Perfect. They should have been way more popular here in the United States. Even hard core Bowie fans dismissed T REX as Glam Rock. I just thought/think it kicks ass.
I moved to key west in 1973,had 2 albums...this was one...the other was sticky fingers/ the stones...no one down there had heard of T-Rex...but they listened to it from my house everyday! LOVED 'EM"
Cos of Marc, my parents let me skip school to listen to the only place I could hear his music in America, at the library, with huge headphones and the books I wanted to read. I can hardly listen to his music without a tear or 20. Why is there not a video for The Slider?(A live one I mean)
I was a huge fan of T.Rex in my early teens but somehow I always missed out this song. I discovered it by chance on youtube recently and I just LOVE it. Thanks so much for uploading!
Just listen to the album one of the best Marc was sadly dismissed and overlooked by so many so called moso's but in his own way he was a genius. I still miss him
bought the slider on vinyl, then cassette years later, then cd. this one of my top 3 fav albums. any newcomers to t rex check out cockney rebel. same vintage
reflections of a bye gone era of talent and art , but least we got you tube to be our time machine , in the greater Roswell New Mexico valley , russell the wizzard on myspace
There's something about this whole album that I've never experienced with another album. Usually, there are songs that I like, some that I don't; but with this, every single song is absolute brilliance. Magnificently sublime from start to finish. Thank you Mr. Bolan & Friends...
I was turned on to Marc Bolan more deeply in '89 via this cassette. After I helped get his car fixed, a guy off the street handed it to me and said, "T Rex. Rock and roll." That's the last I ever saw of him but I'm still listening to it. With so many good songs on there, this one became a favorite over the years alongside Jeepster.
I love spaceball ricochet, make me remind old ages, rock parties, hypnotical song...and bolan one of the greatest , as Dylan or McCartney....unfortunlalety his life was an excess but that does not care...his music touched a millions
way too far ahead of his time what a great loss to rock and roll and music

Nothing will ever compare to this. To Marc Bolan, period. I feel sad and alone much of the time because more people my age don't fucking get it.

The guy who's car you fixed-- the car was a jeep, wasn't it ?
Ha, ha, I thought so.
You helped the Jeepster, so naturally he gave you a tape with his song on it as a way of thanking you.
