@guapgueezee You don't seem to get the complicated psychology of the joke, in which case I'll give you a quick lesson: A lot (but not all) of light skinned blacks will not marry a darker skinned person. I'm taking about the blue bloods of Virginia, Maryland and many southern states who used the paper bag test to prevent darker blacks from joining their social clubs in the 20th century, and who continue to discriminate against them today. So when Mooney called them inbred...he was half joking.

I've actually noticed a trend of light skinned women marrying extremelly dark skinned black men, such a friend of mine, and an older cousin. But, Mooney's old.
