  • @swingbr1313 He's older, so with his arthritis and all, it slows him down.

  • @swingbr1313 Yeah, and Scott's older than you so...

  • Well here in greece the 2 mile standard time for basic training is 16 min..I did it around 15' !

  • LOL I cant believe scott fell for that one.

  • ok so i have to ask. does anyone here actully think an average cillivan/joe placed in that situattion who rarely does any pyiscal activity could last mroe then a few min if he or she was froced to workout like that the very frist day. he or she arived on the ship.

  • yes i heard of people doing 2 miles in 10 min but like i said no one seems to point out the other issue of froceing cillivans to endure that. they cant simply put their bodies can not last more then a few min unless they were training for this for months at least which i doubt they were i mean am i the only one who feels this way or am i just some lazzy out of shape person or something. cuz i just started training a week ago and can barely last 1 min and i have barely ever run in my life.

  • lol, I wouldn't even be able to run 2 miles. :P

  • they should have gapped it and hid :P

  • park... isnt she the slut?

  • @purebludge3 yeah! big time! and she has a boyfriend back on earth!

  • yeah i can do 2 miles in 17 mins and im 16

  • @hellkid94 i beleive you i mean i know i cant i can barely last 1 min and if i was in that situation well honestly idk. i would porably cry myself to sleep nightly because of the way i am being froced like i was in bootcamp well i got news for you most of the time people who are in boot camp can pysichaly handle it because they had prior excerise i do not believe an average cillivan he did not ask to join the mittlitray can can physicaly handle it.

  • wow that is sad

  • @bigdude90

The USAF doesnt even test 2 miles its a 1.5 mile test. The Army has a two mile test but the 20 minute go/no go line is for soldiers 62 years old and older. For a LT Scott's age the minimum time would be 16:36 to 17:00 depending upon just how old the character is.

  • lmfao they tricked him so badly

  • haha, fail xD

  • hehe :D

  • haha, so funny :D

  • I saw that coming too. He said he has to make 2 miles in 21 min. I can make 3 miles in 22 min. Marines say I have to make it in under 28.

  • i tottally saw that coming

  • Semper Fi,

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend anybody. I do cross country and track and know plenty of high school girls who have broken 20 minutes and boys who run 16 minutes for a 5K. I even know a middle schooler who can run a 21 minute 5K! It just seemed a little odd that military personnel who are much more fit than high school boys and girls runs a 2 mile in about the same amount of time.

At any rate, you have my sincere apology if my pervious comment offended you.

  • @EveningSong237 wel there may be an explantion they are going easy of them because well they are unfit cillivans who rarely workout and have no real pirior training. now i personaly still think thats still asking more then they can handle concidering their bodides can not handle it. i dont see their bodies lasting 2 miles much less a mile. i mean i know i cant. and no one seems to point that fact out. cillivans typicaly can not handle the same training as millitary at frist.

  • There's no way that's a real military standard...21 minutes for 2 miles is SLOW! Especially for a young 20-something-year-old guy. This is a hillarious clip though!

  • Actually my SSG expects me to run 2 miles in 15 minutes and that is the Army

  • yeah 15 min for 2 mile should be the average for any combat mos in the army at minimum for 25yrs and under, preferably less though

  • Air Force probably has lower standards - they don't do as much running. The show has a military advisor.

  • I'm kind of annoyed at all the bashing of Air Force fitness standards. I failed those PT requirements (but through fault of my own). MINIMUM requirements to pass basic training is a 11:57 min. mile and a half run, 45 push-ups in 1 min., and 50 sit-ups in 1 min.

  • @mike20707 I would not pass now.

  • @d2001griffiths well i would'nt thats for sure i mean honestly i dont understand why the comander of the ship expects them to pass they are cillivans with very little pyhsical training. how are they expected to last 2 miles as their very frist wrokout seriously how can anyone expect them to last with no motivation. not wanint to be in that situation, no exprence working out. porably dont know how to push themselfs i never understand what drugs the comander was on lol.

  • @mike20707 thats fine except no one seems to point out that these are cillvans who porably rarely workout and did not ask to be in that situiation nor wanted to be. they are being froced porably at gunpoint/therat of being put in the birg seriously usally people who are at bootcamp train themselfs to join these guys were just put into this situation they can not be expected to do nearly as well as millitary personal.

  • agreed im 20 and my time needs to be 15:54 minimum, i ran it easily in 15 min, if trying prolly alot faster for most ppl

  • @EveningSong237 its 6 and a half

  • @EveningSong237 no that's actually really slow!

you have people doing 2.5 clicks in like 9 minutes. 21 min for 2 miles is a joke!

  • @EveningSong237 haha. its not that slow, but it is kinda slow, for military. that would be about 4 clicks so... yeah for military it is slow. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • @lenanana8 well i think they are trying to go easy on them since they are cillvans but honestly i think they are going about the right way i dont see any of those cillvans being able to handle just runing 2 miles much less 1 mile honestly i doubt they would last more then a few 5 min. seriously i dont think the milltiary understands the cillvan bodies just cant handle 2 miles or even 1 mile yet. mabye in a few months of slowly building up to it with runing/walking but they prior training.

  • @EveningSong237 even I can run that fast.

  • @BraveDrop7 Same here when i am in shape I can run 5km in about 25min and i am female and 141cm (4'6")

  • @EveningSong237 the airforce thinks 21 min fo 2 miles is hard lolol

  • @EveningSong237 so i heard i mean i heard of people who can run 2 miles in 10 min mabye less.

  • @EveningSong237 Indeed, it is... slow for a soldier, that is.

Standard here is 2km and, tho a km is shorter than a mile, we have 12 minutes to run at least 2km and this is one of the physical tests prior to boot camp, before we receive any training from them.

Maybe it's the due difference between a military that drafts and a (fully) professional military.

  • @EveningSong237 yep. its the exact length of a south park episode though.

  • @EveningSong237 Standard time for the US Navy is broken into age brackets. For the under-25 males it's 1.5 miles in 13m 15s (minimum passing time). The time rises with each bracket.

  • Hilarious

  • lol

  • Aww. poor lt. scott.

  • I could see that coming a mile away (no pun intended). Its a shame that Lt. Scott couldn't. :)
