@mrskarenkatz The actual end of the world cannot happen anytime soon. There will be the rapture 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17. Then there will be 7 years of tribulation and during that period of time people can turn to Christ and be saved but they have to stay until they die or Jesus and his saints come back. No one knows exactly when Jesus will rapture us. I do believe we can get close though and I believe it is close.

We are in a period of God's grace right now! Many nations will rise up and gather for battle ,Israel will be surrounded on all sides on the plains of Megiddo ... And when it seems that all hope is lost.... you must realize this, the battle of Armageddon is not a fair fight.All that are gathered against God's people are cast into the lake of fire which burns with sulfur forever and ever. It appears that Satan and his followers have God's people on the ropes.. but the outcome is never in question!

I no longer believe that it is true! I believe IF I am wrong then there is no harm!Salvation does not depend on if someone believes in the rapture!
If I am right then I believe MANY christians are putting themselves in harms way by not being prepared for the trib. I do not believe the church persay is trying to deceive people about the rapture- I believe it is a lie by lucifer to put to sleep the christians!

@SPLENOROUS The last battle is really not a battle, but the Lord defeating the enemies of Heaven by the Sword of His mouth which is the Word Of God. Raptured Christians will come back to earth with Him as witnesses. In other words, nobody is running, we will be in attendance, but not as soldiers, but spectators. It will be a grand day. :) If believing that I'm wrong, doesn't bother me. YOu having a misunderstanding of what we believe does bother me.

I think the rapture is when the Holy spirit of God is called away from earth and lawlessness will prevail. Where does the Holy Spirit dwell? In the heart of every true Christian. Surely he would not leave the physical body here without it.

i quoted those verses simply to make the point that, as the bible plainly states, both compassion and fear may serve to motivate people toward the truth and that both are legitimate, though one can be more effective than the other depending on the person in need. it may be popular to ridicule the "fire and brimstone" preacher who frightens the unsaved with the promise of eternal torment. nonetheless, his words are as valid as any, and many today are hell bound for lack of hearing the hard truth.
