You're so gracious! :D A lot of people do have it bad but in a lot of cases you really can't help that. I am glad that you are more hopeful now that things have settled a bit.

One thing that can help with saving for surgery is to send off a payment every time you get paid (when you can of course) instead of trying to save the whole thing at a go and then send it in. Well, it helps for me, because if I had a lot of money sitting there in the bank I'd spend it.

I live in Columbus, and I would suggest that you go call or visit an organization called "Stonewall Columbus". They are a LGBT advocacy group. I am sure you would NOT be the first person who was facing a housing crisis to come to them. If they can't help directly, they might be able to tell you who can.

Before you go making a major relocation & possibly setting yourself up for the same situation to happen again, you should give this a try.
