  • Mabel was a comic genius!

  • I just love this! Wonderful music too.

  • Wow. That was....great.

  • Magnificent video!

  • david guette a pompé cette musique pour kelly rolland , "when love takes over"

  • very well done!! :)

  • Like the Coldplay soundtrack!

  • You selected some of my favorite actresses! I used the Clocks song in one of my videos too. This is wonderful.

    --------Ellen

  • Real women.

    Real stars.

They don't make 'em like that anymore.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • Thanks for the upload, I'm enjoying it!!! I love this remix of 'Clocks' better than the original and suits your video!!!!

  • God do I love silent films. Excellent job there Hillkat. Love the music that accompanies the video but more important I'm in love with Louise Brookes. Can't get enuff of her short career.

  • Mekitcedek2 and the video Lovely Silent Film Actresses is something to see. Don't talk for that person but when its nice its nice

  • nice movie and excellent sound...love this.

    jo

  • louise brooks rocks ! what a classy lady.

  • How wonderfully surprising that this song was clocks..It sounded pretty damn familiar. In string quartet ..its much better..well for this anyway..I dont really know any of these other ladies..so im going to have to check out some of there pictures. :) Thanks for posting this..How errie...that that song came up on this vid..gave me the chills really.

  • The video from Breton2Robert called: Colorful And Irresistible Clara Bow. Its very good and colorful

  • this was when real acting happened Clara Bow is stunning!

  • These ladies had a huge impact on the future of movies and cinema. 5 stars for this great vid

  • i had the honor & great pleasure of meeting Lillian Gish in the mid to late seventies at one of those annual (hollywood) Forest Lawn rememberances of the death of Rudolph Valentino. She was in a wheelchair but, still quite beautiful and verrrry down to earth.

  • Ladies, you are all beautiful. Feminissimas! :D

  • Great !!!

  • Theda bera, wasn't she Yogi's grandmon?

  • oh wow!! love it! lillian gish had the face of an angel!

  • Beautiful...good montage

    2:03 lovely picture.

  • Wow, thank you. I would love to have this collection! Great job,

  • I love Lillian Gish's face, she's like a doll, looks so adorable... but all of them take my breath away, they're gorgeous ^^

  • Love this. :]

  • " They had faces then ".... quote Norma Desmond ( Gloria Swanson ) from " Sunset Bvld ", the movie not the musical!

  • I find it hauntingly interesting that many of these actresses who enjoyed and accumulated alot of wealth and fame throughout their careers actually led very difficult and tragic lives after their careers. The lives of Clara Bow, Mary Pickford, and Louise Brooks all had tragic endings despite all the happiness that surrounded them in earlier days. I find it very curious

  • IM a Huge fan of most of them.

  • IMHO Dorothy Gish had a more interesting face than Lillian.

  • I agree with you on that. I noticed that too :)

  • Great video, the music and the footage mesh together quite nicely. I have a suggestion, since you're pretty talented, you should make a vid celebrating the Silent leading men with men like Rudy, John Gilbert, Chaplin, Lloyd, Fairbanks, etc.

  • Glad you like it. I have done one video with a few of men in already!

  • Yeah, sorry I just noticed your other vids, great work...what a gift!

  • Theda Bara, oh how I adore her :D

she's the queen of silent films and there will be NO ONE like her<333

  • You made a great and unique video. They were all wonderful and amazing ladies but none of them will ever compare to the most beautiful and most talented one of all, Miss Theda Bara. Long live the Vamp!!!!

  • I completely agree, all wonderfully good looking and talented, but Theda Bara is the most legendary for me.

  • These ladies were the foundation for the actresses of the 30's 40's and into today. Immortals all

  • Mabel Normand Theda bara you are amazing

  • My favorite is the elegant Lillian Gish. Nice video!

  • So many great stars thanks a lot!

  • Theda bara was so hot!! i loved this video.

  • BEE CHALLENGED TO ...to Dream...

MARY PICKFORD...AHHHHHH SHE IS one of my Sweet Favoritez

    HOLLYWOOD GODZZZZZZZZ

HOW I COME HERE TO WORSHIP THEM

    lovzzzzzzz alwayz ya

    Frindy

    THE BEE

  • GREAT video! Great music too:) They're forever in our heartsXD

  • the music sounds like Coldplay except with violens... what is it?

  • it is The String Quartet version of the Coldplay song 'Clocks'.

  • @starfruitsmile maybe coldplay copied that sounds...

  • Even though long ago, they were babes. ;)

  • Lilian,Theda,Clara and Louise...

    Amazing !!

  • There's Theda Bara Blvd. in Fort Lee, N.J. That's where the movie business started. I think she was one of the first women to have a Master's degree in New York.

  • good stuff

  • This is incredibly touching, and I want the music!!!!!!!!!!

    PS- Love MABEL!!!!

  • LOVE this vid. Welcome back Hillkat!

  • Thank you

  • Awesome vid... Thanks! Where'd you get the strings rendition of that Coldplay song? (The name's completely slipped my mind).

  • I have the album StringQuartet tribute to Coldplay which has seveal Coldplay songs done as a string version.

  • This was a great video! You included two of my fave silent ladies - Clara Bow and Theda Bara. Thank you! :)

  • There's a Theda Bara Blvd. in Fort Lee, N.J. That's where the film industry started before they moved to California.

  • where's swanson, garbo, shearer, and crawford?

  • It's a series of videos. Look at the others.

  • Beautifully done! OMG some of those photos of Clara Bow - god she was so beautiful. These women were ahead of their time! TY for putting this together.

  • Thanks for having a look.

  • Enjoyed your vid-great to see Mabel.-5*

  • great Kat!

  • Such a wonderful video...But how come no Gloria Swanson or Mae West? Not to knock at your videos but those were my faverites in the silent pictures. Just asking..:) Your videos are fabulous

  • Mae West is in another one that i've made and I don't have any Gloria Swanson clips yet so couldn't include her.

  • Haha you should get some from Sunset Blvd. She was feirce. and it's sold really cheap now.

  • Great Tribute to Great Actrices of Silent Movie!

    Tank you so much.

  • wow this is very beautiful!!!i love the song and ofcourse the ladies!!!
