So ok no one is original why the hell keep the name?? I love old Napalm Death scum and form enslavement. Once Mick harris left it was all over. Sorry.
I've seen ND live so many times when I look back. First show I saw was for Harmony Corruption, back to the days of Jesse and Mick. I grew up with Napalm. Best albums, lyrics and their album covers are always the best. Looking forward to this one since TWFNS was so strong.
remember napalm from scum in the 80s.people said the singer sounded like a dragon.they heard some sections and said thats pretty good.we didn't know if it was punk or metal or what.turns out they and a few other bands(septic death, old dri, carcass)had created a new style called grindcore.i still call them punk,at the extream end of things.
NAPALM DEATH!!!!!!! I am beyond ready for "Utilitarian" I've had that pre ordered since i found out this beast of an album was coming out (sits patiently by the door until February 28th)
I've always been impressed by the social conscience of this band. The music perfectly matches the gravity of its subject matter upon first glance. Barney's take on social commentary is easy to grasp, yet complex enough to mean something substantial. Seriously, I think this album could grind me down HARD. Having Zorn on is worth the price of admission. Love his work with Bill Laswell and Buckethead!
@CenturyMedia thanx for reminding me. I saw them on the "Mass Appeal Madness" tour in MI. a long time ago and met Barney. It was too much fun.!! Thanx for the reply.
From these audio samples along with the lyrical subject matter (which I can strongly relate to) and them absolutely killing it when they played Quarantined when I saw them back in December, I can see this becoming my favourite Napalm Death album.
I'm not even going to download a single track of it beforehand. Just take my money and give me my fix.
You all fuckers who listen to metal shit, you should take a bath and cut your fucking hair.

Napalm Death gig = most violent crowd. I really mean that in the most complimentary sense, seen some crazy shit at Napalm gigs.
ND - Britain is proud of you and everything you've achieved.
