@xxlensguyxx Some people have pointed out that it's probably a controlled burn, as you can see some straight lines of fire which possibly indicate an accelerant poured out in a straight line an then lit up. The reason we could drive through is probably due to the wind direction taking the smoke and fire away from us.

There was some fire engines right before and after this stretch, but as you can see the wind was blowing the other way so it was probably deemed safe enough :)
